Need to vent

Need to vent

Hi everyone

I need to vent!!

I'm not coping

I'm not enjoying my new job. It's mundane, boring and triggering. For those who don't know, I was made redundant in my pharmacy job 4 days before Christmas. I then found a casual job at a supermarket. The job I do is very boring. I have far too much 'alone' time at work so my mind wanders to a lot of stuff. I asked my supervisor if i could learn the registers as thats what i would love to do. she replied that she couldn't until next year, don't know why as we are so short staffed and they need extras.

They advertise extra shifts or replacing a shift on facebook, which i really hate. but that's how they do it. i asked my supervisor if i could pick up extra shifts even though i don't know the registers. she replied yes thats fine that i would still do cleaning.

The other day a staff member posted she needed someone to do a shift. i was the first one tyo reply and accept the shift. another girl replied after me. the staff member replied back to me saying she would give that shift to the second girl as i don't know tyhe registers. I was so annoyed, angry and then upset. I feel used, and discriminated.

The problem is I am 'too scared' to confront my supervisor and ask again as i don't want the other member to get into gtrouble. so this means that i can't get any extra shifts until i learn the registers.

it is so wrong

the other issue i am having is seeing the old pharmacy customers. it's not an issue in that i see them, they love to talk. some still didn't know i had gone!!! but each time i see them and they say 'oh i am sorry to what happened to you' i get upset, hurt angry at the new owners. i miss the girls i used to work with and the job.

working for a much much bigger organisation is hard. there is so much clicks, so much politics and crap. i try to go in and do my job and go home.

but with so much time on my hands at work i start to think negatively.

i have recentyly had terrible vertigo, a 5 day migraine and today again another headache. i decided to call in sick and was spoken to so rude and short by the supervisor. it's like she doesn't believe me when i call in sick. and my anxiety is extremely high in having to ring her.

i don't have the confidence to leave and get another job. i feel i am not good enough

i am sorry to vent, i know a lot of you are struggling with your own issues. and that i should be thankful that i do have a job, as a lot of people have lost theirs.

Good morning @Shaz51 @BPDSurvivor @Eve7 @MDT @Emelia8 @Owlunar

in bed with pain. I feel my whole abdomen is inflamed. I'm teary.
Hubby at wirk. Older son just got hime from night shift snd is now asleep. Younger son asleep still. Daughter snd littke A home tomorrow morning.
The house is clean and tidy. Lounge room left tidy last night and it's still tidy!!!! 😂

I want to go for a walk but don't want to leave the house either. If that makes sense. I just want to curl up at home.
I need to exercise. I need to do a lot of things but right now I'm very unmotivated.

Re: Need to vent

Good morning @BlueBay 😊

I'm really sorry you are in pain and teary again this morning. Being in physical pain for any length of time is so exhausting.

But hey, that must feel good to have the house clean and tidy. I know you miss your D and little A, but kids really are a handful and can be completely exhausting, especially when you are not feeling well. Perhaps today is a good day to just do what you feel like doing ... ie curl up at home and rest. Enjoy the peace and quiet and a clean and tidy home, while you can. The exercise and probably the household chores too, can wait.

Have you given your notice at your job yet? If you decide to go for a walk, keep it to a gentle pace.

Emelia 💞🤗

Re: Need to vent

Hi @Emelia8

No I haven't resigned yet. I am not going in this week, have one 3 hr shift on wednesday. and while still in pain i am not going. i see my regular GP tomorrow morning so i will get a medical certificate from him. I will then call work and let them know that i am resigning. I will tell them it is due to my health.

I am really hoping that i get a phone call tomorrow from the Chemist that i applied for the job. Oh i really hope i get it. even though the retail manager is a pain and very loud; i can work with that. I have known her for about 10 years (she lived across the road from me for a while).

I haven't gone for a walk, i am just sitting now with a coffee. I may pick up some knitting if i can be bothered.

I don't know how long this pain lasts; i can't remember from the last time in Dec.

Yeah gentle quiet day for me, i think

how are you going today? are you still lightheaded?

xxxooo

I'm feeling terrible. I'm feeling very envious of some friends. They have gone away interstate enjoying their Easter break.
they always seem to be going awsy enjoying themselves. But then she tells me they're struggling. I don't understand.
I feel so down. Just saw some of her photos on social media

anither friend left for a month up north. Another away for three months travelling Australia.
that's a dream I'll never get to do.

I feel like my life will never be any good.

I'm feeling very low. Depressed. Teary.

physically I feel my whole abdomen is inflamed. I don't know.

I give up

Re: Need to vent

Hi @BlueBay
This is one of the reasons why I don't have instagram or snapchat or anything like that that. I found it was affecting my self image too much. Growing up I found that it had that effect on me too. I eventually tried both but hated it. I don't see why I need to broadcast what I do or don't do to everyone. I'm convinced that its hurting young people in ways they don't understand.

Dividing people as well.

I digress.

I am thinking of you these days my friend. I know work is something you are finding hard too and I am as well.

Take care friend
