Need to vent

Need to vent

Hi everyone

I need to vent!!

I'm not coping

I'm not enjoying my new job. It's mundane, boring and triggering. For those who don't know, I was made redundant in my pharmacy job 4 days before Christmas. I then found a casual job at a supermarket. The job I do is very boring. I have far too much 'alone' time at work so my mind wanders to a lot of stuff. I asked my supervisor if i could learn the registers as thats what i would love to do. she replied that she couldn't until next year, don't know why as we are so short staffed and they need extras.

They advertise extra shifts or replacing a shift on facebook, which i really hate. but that's how they do it. i asked my supervisor if i could pick up extra shifts even though i don't know the registers. she replied yes thats fine that i would still do cleaning.

The other day a staff member posted she needed someone to do a shift. i was the first one tyo reply and accept the shift. another girl replied after me. the staff member replied back to me saying she would give that shift to the second girl as i don't know tyhe registers. I was so annoyed, angry and then upset. I feel used, and discriminated.

The problem is I am 'too scared' to confront my supervisor and ask again as i don't want the other member to get into gtrouble. so this means that i can't get any extra shifts until i learn the registers.

it is so wrong

the other issue i am having is seeing the old pharmacy customers. it's not an issue in that i see them, they love to talk. some still didn't know i had gone!!! but each time i see them and they say 'oh i am sorry to what happened to you' i get upset, hurt angry at the new owners. i miss the girls i used to work with and the job.

working for a much much bigger organisation is hard. there is so much clicks, so much politics and crap. i try to go in and do my job and go home.

but with so much time on my hands at work i start to think negatively.

i have recentyly had terrible vertigo, a 5 day migraine and today again another headache. i decided to call in sick and was spoken to so rude and short by the supervisor. it's like she doesn't believe me when i call in sick. and my anxiety is extremely high in having to ring her.

i don't have the confidence to leave and get another job. i feel i am not good enough

i am sorry to vent, i know a lot of you are struggling with your own issues. and that i should be thankful that i do have a job, as a lot of people have lost theirs.

Re: Need to vent

Your BP is a problem @BlueBay and you are right to be concerned about it.

And probably given your 'normal' BP is on the high side, you dont really know what to expect when its suddenly too low.

I have a natural BP on the low side of around 100/60. Most of the time I have no symptoms of low BP at all. So not a concern. But sometimes it dips below that to low 90s/50s, which is in the range yours was the other day. And I do get symptoms then ... light headed, dizzy, spacey, loss of equilibrium.

You are doing the right thing to keep up the fluids. BP will drop further if you become dehydrated.

Try to take things easy over the weekend. And take particular care when getting up from a sitting or lying position. Do it slowly and have something at hand to hold onto if needed.

Glad to hear you are following up with another visit with your GP on Monday.

Let some of your other household members do dinner tonight perhaps? While you rest and put your feet up. Dont forget you are only just out of hospital.

Emelia 😄💖

Re: Need to vent

Hi @Emelia8

I went for a drive with my daughter to pick up littke A from her dads I'm so tired

yeah I think these two hospital admission took a lot out of me. Even just the pain one week after each other.
I'm trying to rest as much as poss. My D will do dinner later. Littke A fell asleep in the car so my D and I are resting.

I'm not sure what my doctor will decide to do. I've stopped my BP meds like he told me. Imagine if I took them still it would be much lower. Maybe this med isn't good for me.

we want to tske A to see some really great homes nearby that have so much Xmas decorations tonight so in a way it's good she's asleep now.

one son out in the city tonight, the other out eith his mates. Hubby outside washing the car. It's nice and quiet for now so 'm taking advantage of the peace and quiet.

hope your day is ok. I know you have a lot on your mind so I'm very appreciative of your reply.
thsnk you lovely @Emelia8

take care ❤️❤️

Re: Need to vent

Morning @BlueBay 😄💓

Sometimes allowing yourself to have a good cry is the best thing you could do for yourself. It will release some of those pent up emotions you are experiencing.

Give it a try ... it cant hurt.

Sending you an understanding hug. And a big bunch of love. 💓

Hi @Owlunar ... its been ages since we last spoke. Ive been a bit quiet lately, and see that you have too. I think of you often however, and always catch your updates. Sending you a gentle hug and some love. 💕🐈
