Need to vent

Need to vent

Hi everyone

I need to vent!!

I'm not coping

I'm not enjoying my new job. It's mundane, boring and triggering. For those who don't know, I was made redundant in my pharmacy job 4 days before Christmas. I then found a casual job at a supermarket. The job I do is very boring. I have far too much 'alone' time at work so my mind wanders to a lot of stuff. I asked my supervisor if i could learn the registers as thats what i would love to do. she replied that she couldn't until next year, don't know why as we are so short staffed and they need extras.

They advertise extra shifts or replacing a shift on facebook, which i really hate. but that's how they do it. i asked my supervisor if i could pick up extra shifts even though i don't know the registers. she replied yes thats fine that i would still do cleaning.

The other day a staff member posted she needed someone to do a shift. i was the first one tyo reply and accept the shift. another girl replied after me. the staff member replied back to me saying she would give that shift to the second girl as i don't know tyhe registers. I was so annoyed, angry and then upset. I feel used, and discriminated.

The problem is I am 'too scared' to confront my supervisor and ask again as i don't want the other member to get into gtrouble. so this means that i can't get any extra shifts until i learn the registers.

it is so wrong

the other issue i am having is seeing the old pharmacy customers. it's not an issue in that i see them, they love to talk. some still didn't know i had gone!!! but each time i see them and they say 'oh i am sorry to what happened to you' i get upset, hurt angry at the new owners. i miss the girls i used to work with and the job.

working for a much much bigger organisation is hard. there is so much clicks, so much politics and crap. i try to go in and do my job and go home.

but with so much time on my hands at work i start to think negatively.

i have recentyly had terrible vertigo, a 5 day migraine and today again another headache. i decided to call in sick and was spoken to so rude and short by the supervisor. it's like she doesn't believe me when i call in sick. and my anxiety is extremely high in having to ring her.

i don't have the confidence to leave and get another job. i feel i am not good enough

i am sorry to vent, i know a lot of you are struggling with your own issues. and that i should be thankful that i do have a job, as a lot of people have lost theirs.

Re: Need to vent

Hi there @BlueBay and can I say first up how wonderful it is to hear your excitement over your home made products. Well done to you on the sales you have already made, and also for the beautiful sample products you have posted pictures of here. If this is an indication of what you are selling, I have no doubt you will do well. Perhaps even have a greater market requirement than what you are able to personally make and supply. That would be a good thing of course. You have been very brave and determined in starting this venture and I really admire you for following through with it. I remember seeing some of @Bellarose75 paint pouring creations, and I truly loved what she did. And I love yours too BlueBay. And the baby blankets ... they are soooo pretty.

Your excitement and enthusiasm must be infectious @BlueBay , as I am starting to feel the desire to get back into doing some more of my diamond painting. Perhaps this afternoon.

Enjoy the rest of your day @BlueBay 💕🤗 And waves to @HenryX @Shaz51 @Owlunar @MDT etc 👋

Re: Need to vent

good morning my beautiful friends @Owlunar @Shaz51 @Emelia8 @HenryX @MDT @oceangirl @Snowie @Anastasia @Eve7 andn others i have forgotten

this morning i have a 7am doctors appt. i know it's early but they open at 7 so i prefer early. My doctor made a comment last week to me that 'l had frightened him when i first met him' - but he never went into detail as we were in the nurses rooms changing my bandage. So as it's been on my mind since last week i am going to ask him if he can explain. I just want to know why and how i frightened him as it would never ever be my intention to do that to anyone. i am also giving him my very first art canvas and the colours are the colours of his clinic and logo, i hope he likes it.

Then my daughter is dropping off little A to kinda at 8.30 - 11.00am and she and I will go for a long walk and coffee down the beach. lots of talking!!!

This afternoon I have a 2pm psych appt which i can't wait for. I want to tell her about my craft taking off and selling some items. I know she will be pleased to hear about that, as she has been harping at me to get it online to start selling for weeks. so finall i have done that!!

also want to let my psych know about my questionnare results from my psychologists last week and how i reacted badly to the results.

just so you all know - i haven't called my mum for 4 days now. i have a feeling she may call this morning. You know, the more i think about what my psychologist told me last week the more i think he could be right - when my parents came to the front door and after a few minutes of them telling me they are not coming for xmas, my dad turned around and walked back inside. he left without saying goodbye. that was a big shock for me, he has never done that before.

my psychologist said that maybe he was upset because he may have wanted to come to my house but because my mum said no they are not coming he couldn't handle it so he walked away upset. the more i think of this he could be right. my mum is such a cow. a big cow!!

yesterday we went to the cemetery to my hubby's parents. it is 2 yrs since his mum passed away and because of Covid we couldn't go. we got there and i broke down, tears flowing, i just couldn't hold the tears back. i was thinking how nice they were, they never interferred in our lives, so different to my parents. they would have adored their great granddaughter so so much. they would have showered her with so much love and gifts. so so different to my parents. but that is life. you can't change it.

it's funny with kids, little A asked her nonno last week where are his parents because she hasn't met them yet - we explained they were very sick and old and died, they went to heaven. and that they love her very much. she then replied 'will i see them one day' - oh by then i started to cry. i told her yes one day. she turned to me and said 'nonna why are you crying, i can give you give you a hug' and she did a big tight hug. she is the best. i don't know where all those questions came from, i guess at 4 yrs old they start to think and ask.

she is such a sweet little soul.

more canvas art work today, i am going to use bright colours today - orange, yellow, red, purple, white. sew 2 blankets for my friend who has purchased them. and organise dinner in between.

hope everyone is doing ok, and have a nice day xxxxoooo

Re: Need to vent

Hello @BlueBay

I really like the idea of giving the doctor your painting that you have prepared with the colours of his logo.

Something else, of which I know that you would be aware, is that you intend asking the doctor the question about why:

'l had frightened him when i first met him'

I believe that I may also be able to share my belief as others would, that it is known that you would not intentionally frighten or hurt someone else. However, the important question is to do with what caused the doctor to be somehow given cause for concern or anxiety, and not the fact that you somehow feel some sense of responsibility for the doctors level of disquiet.

Love the idea of daughter and you going for the walk on the beach and coffee together.

It seems that everything is progressing well with psych appt this afternoon.

While there is great progress evident, and I do not want to be throwing a wet blanket, please be aware and mentally prepared for some negative thought to sneak in and cause some low spots. While I think that it is not wise to be too worried, I do believe that it is worth being prepared.

Have to go now. Great to hear of how you are progressing @BlueBay

With Hope and Best Wishes
