Need to vent

Need to vent

Hi everyone

I need to vent!!

I'm not coping

I'm not enjoying my new job. It's mundane, boring and triggering. For those who don't know, I was made redundant in my pharmacy job 4 days before Christmas. I then found a casual job at a supermarket. The job I do is very boring. I have far too much 'alone' time at work so my mind wanders to a lot of stuff. I asked my supervisor if i could learn the registers as thats what i would love to do. she replied that she couldn't until next year, don't know why as we are so short staffed and they need extras.

They advertise extra shifts or replacing a shift on facebook, which i really hate. but that's how they do it. i asked my supervisor if i could pick up extra shifts even though i don't know the registers. she replied yes thats fine that i would still do cleaning.

The other day a staff member posted she needed someone to do a shift. i was the first one tyo reply and accept the shift. another girl replied after me. the staff member replied back to me saying she would give that shift to the second girl as i don't know tyhe registers. I was so annoyed, angry and then upset. I feel used, and discriminated.

The problem is I am 'too scared' to confront my supervisor and ask again as i don't want the other member to get into gtrouble. so this means that i can't get any extra shifts until i learn the registers.

it is so wrong

the other issue i am having is seeing the old pharmacy customers. it's not an issue in that i see them, they love to talk. some still didn't know i had gone!!! but each time i see them and they say 'oh i am sorry to what happened to you' i get upset, hurt angry at the new owners. i miss the girls i used to work with and the job.

working for a much much bigger organisation is hard. there is so much clicks, so much politics and crap. i try to go in and do my job and go home.

but with so much time on my hands at work i start to think negatively.

i have recentyly had terrible vertigo, a 5 day migraine and today again another headache. i decided to call in sick and was spoken to so rude and short by the supervisor. it's like she doesn't believe me when i call in sick. and my anxiety is extremely high in having to ring her.

i don't have the confidence to leave and get another job. i feel i am not good enough

i am sorry to vent, i know a lot of you are struggling with your own issues. and that i should be thankful that i do have a job, as a lot of people have lost theirs.

Not a good night @Anastasia @Zoe7 @Judi9877 @Shaz51 @Emelia8 @MDT @HenryX @BPDSurvivor @oceangirl And others

my blood pressure dropped drastically overnight. Had pain and dizzy and nausea. Gave me meds and raised my bed where my feet are. Then a Med to help sleep - no such luck. Then an histamine for itchy skin - no luck. Didn't get to sleep until after 11.30pm then awake at 1am; 3am; 5am and then 6am.
they're not giving me my BP Med. It's as low as 94/60.

Re: Need to vent

Hi there @Zoe7 @BlueBay @Anastasia @MDT @Shaz51 and everyone here. Thank you very much for reaching out to me last night @Anastasia @Zoe7. It's so nice to know that I've got some support here on the forums with my forums family who do care about me!

As of an update as to what's been going on today and last night, well, the good news is I've calmed down and have accepted that I can't trust alcoholics and that I have to be more careful of relationships in the future so I don't get hurt in the future. My relationship with my twin sister is rocky right now which is standard with her as she has an argument with our father yesterday at work and is taking it out on me because she thinks she can. Anyhow, that's life I guess in my family. I think the voices I was hearing telling me that my psychologist was going to hurt me could've actually been me mistakenly thinking it was my psychologist when in fact the voices probably meant my father instead. I've sent an email to my psychologist telling him this so I'll watch what happens in the voices context,

The good news is I applied for a car loan today and hopefully, I stand a chance of getting it since I've used the loan company in the past. I was also able to spend several hours during the day writing a draft of an essay plan with the essay being due next Monday so that's another good thing to happen. I also forgot to mention in admidst my rant that something good did happen yesterday which was I signed the new lease to our new place and we get the keys on Friday night to move our stuff in on the weekend so that's a great thing in my eyes.

I'm feeling a lot calmer now and have been for most of the day despite having a terrible nights sleep last night which I put down to stress and anger of the situation I was experiencing last night. A warm shower helped with lavender shower gel to help relax me at 2:30am in the morning which was wonderful to experience. I was safe last night with my housemate looking out for me and my erratic behaviour so I can always count on her to watch out for me when I'm in one of those moods. She really is a great friend and one I'm glad to have in my life as she knows what to do and what to look out for in regards to my behaviours in times like last night.

@Zoe7 I saw on Facebook that it was 5 years of Chris Fagan being in charge of our Brisbane Lions which I didn't know about. He's been such a great coach for our team and I'm glad he's in charge of our boys. Let's hope the boys can get him a Grand Final Premiership trophy for his dedication to our team like the girls did in the AFLW this year!

Talk later! Thanks once again for caring about me forumite friends!

Great to hear @Judi9877 Time does help once those initial feelings pass and I am so glad you have such a wonderful friend to look out for you 👍 Yes 5 years with Fages - took us from 17th to the 8 in his first year and we have continued to grow since despite not yet making the final - maybe this year ...Cam Rayner back and he could do anything with sucha wonderful bunch of boys behind him (yes he is one of my favourites 🦁)

Re: Need to vent

Hi @Zoe7
I agree with you that Cam Rayner is a great player in our team. I’m personally a big fan of Lachie Neale who is a great player as well and I was so glad when he got the Brownlow for our team last year. He’s definitely been well worth it with everything he’s brought to the club considering he left Fremantle to move away to Brisbane!
Go the Brissy boys🦁!

Re: Need to vent

@Judi9877 Totally agree - Neale has been awesome. Got really annoyed at the speculation he wanted to return to WA - if he does want to go back then let him ...family is more important.

Hi friends @Anastasia @MDT @Shaz51 @MDT @Emelia8 @BPDSurvivor @oceangirl @Snowie @Eve7 @Bow @HenryX and others ive forgotten -

I've been on the quiet side because I'm struggling a bit. When I don't come on it's because I'm down and just want to hide away.
I am still sore from surgery which is to be expected. No heavy lifting. Hubby has been great support.
I've put my items that I've made on Facebook to sell. Created a business name and finally got my daughter to help me. Now it's up and live. So far I've made knitted headbands, bath salts, scrunchies, relaxing eye pillows and bsby blankets.

im planning to add in a few weeks time - dry air clay hearts and different fabric eye pillows. I'm trying macrame but it's a bit hard. Once I get the hang of it I think it will be ok. I'm getting hubby to try this also. He may be better than me.
I'm planning on doing some bath bombs and I'm going to do a candle making course in early January. It's $79 for 2 hours but you take home a large and a small candle and learn how to make them!!!!

also today we are looking at two homes that are for sale in area we like. Then most likely early jan we will put house in market. But - m scared, anxious, sad and feel guilty. The guilt is from me not working. And to be honest I don't think I want to work anymore.

Xmas presents almost done. I've just got to get a few bottles of wine to add to presents. Oh I have to get one more son (older one). Think I'll get him a voucher . Even a massage might be good for him.
then food for the day - I'll start buying bits and pieces now. Think I'm organised. So why am I so stressed.
