Re: NEW WORD TODAY

Yes @Former-Member even if I'd been in a heap for a week I would still have been resilient. In the dictionary meaning that @Former-Member provided it does mention 'quickly' but what period of time s representative of quickly? Does it mean within seconds hours days weeks. I don't believe the time period matters. It's the fact that someone does get back up and starts rebuilding.

I certainly dee you as being resilient and you are becoming more so. Neither of us is giving up on recovery. 😜 Devils advocate : keep on trying.

I really started travelling along the road to recovery when I finally understood that in fact, I was resilient. 🎶

Re: NEW WORD TODAY

I did join in @Kurra

I am quintessentially a resilient person ... get up etc... put up with insults and being ignored & bulldozed .. but my physcial disability is a testament to the limits of the springiness and pliability of the human skeletal system.

I am a bit OCD about meaning ... and love chasing Greek & Roman ro ots ... courtesy of an English major ... and singing in Latin Italian & German.

I hope the counsellors have a big tool bag of supportive words for their clients ... as even a resilient person can get broke.

Re: NEW WORD TODAY

Now @Appleblossom the skeletal structure is definitely less resilient than we are. Sure resilient people do get broke...... but...... resilient people eventually find the courage to start again.

Yep. Bones are a bit more problematical particularly as we age. I think I might look at getting a skeletaltransplant. Sorry I've got the sillys ( sillies? ) tonight but I'm lovable!!😇
