Changing meds

Changing meds

Hi. I battled MDD & acute anxiety nearly all of my adult life. I've been on numerous different SSRIs, SRNIs, antipsychotics, tried rTMS & ECT. Am addicted to a benzo for my anxiety.

I am in the process of swapping out from a SRNI to a MAOI and the wash out period is hell. I really don't think I'm going to make it. This is the darkest place I have ever been.
I have no family support, honestly no friends, not able to work & are completely isolated.

i don't feel my medical team actually care much anymore, they are overwhelmed by new clients because of covid.

i hardly sleep, but the last thing in my mind before I do, is how much I want to die. It's the first thought of the day when I wake up.

what if this new medication doesn't work either??

Hi @WIP

It sounds like you’re starting to head in the right direction 💛

I hope the pdoc visit was ok and I’m glad you’re talking to some of the other ladies.

Its great to know that the nurses are kind and supportive.

I’m just having a late lunch break but need to return to work. Catch up later.

Lots of love

Hi @NatureLover @Anastasia @Eve7

Thanks for your posts today, so nice to hear from you all.

Today has been one of those up and down days, but not to extreme downs.

Pdoc catch up went alright. I was much calmer & tried to be a bit assertive during the conversation with things that are important to me. I'll be seen by the TMS team on Wednesday. Not sure if it's just for the mapping, or I'll have a treatment session as well. 5 days on, 2 days off, twice a day - 30 sessions in total.

The social worker is visiting me 2mrw to call Centrelink with me. She couldn't make it Friday, and to be honest, I wasn't in a state to concentrate then anyway.

I hope you all had a good day today.

Sleep well & have beautiful dreams.

🤗💖

My day has been a bit up and down too but I managed to function at work so hopefully I can keep that up.

Lots of love

@WIP so pleased to hear you haven't had any extreme downs in the last day or two...

Have you had TMS before?

How did it go with calling Centrelink yesterday? Oh gosh, I hope it went OK.

Re: Changing meds

Good morning @NatureLover @Anastasia

Hope you both have a good day today!

I didn't sleep very well last night, so not feeling crash hot this morning. Will venture out of my room soon to see what the morning group topic is and decide if I'm up to it or not.

We didn't get to contact Centrelink y'day, and the social worker is coming again at 11.30 this morning, so attending group night be a good distraction before the inevitable drama with Centrelink.

The TMS doctor will be meeting with me at some stage today too, to discuss the plan. I have had this treatment before in 2018, and it gave me that little boost to help get me out of the hole of depression. Fingers crossed it provides some

relief this time round too.

So good to hear from you both. 🤗💖
