Changing meds

Changing meds

Hi. I battled MDD & acute anxiety nearly all of my adult life. I've been on numerous different SSRIs, SRNIs, antipsychotics, tried rTMS & ECT. Am addicted to a benzo for my anxiety.

I am in the process of swapping out from a SRNI to a MAOI and the wash out period is hell. I really don't think I'm going to make it. This is the darkest place I have ever been.
I have no family support, honestly no friends, not able to work & are completely isolated.

i don't feel my medical team actually care much anymore, they are overwhelmed by new clients because of covid.

i hardly sleep, but the last thing in my mind before I do, is how much I want to die. It's the first thought of the day when I wake up.

what if this new medication doesn't work either??

Re: Changing meds

It may not be the same as in real life Hon but you are absolutely not alone @WIP We are all here with you and although it is just virtually we do very much care about you. I would not have got through the 2 years of major depression without the love and care of so many here - it really mattered to me when I also could not see a way out or any hope - so let us hold you up now as well because you very much matter to us. Give Levi a big hug and feel the love of us all with you at the same time.

Thanks @Zoe7

I appreciate your words, I also feel like a burden on the forums when I get an email from the moderator.
I will try to battle through tonight and get some sleep. For safety's sake I'm stayin at my Mum's place tomorrow night - although I don't know if that will do more damage than good.

I've cried all day and been at crisis point for days - it's just too much & I'm all alone. I honestly keep thinking what's the point.

You are absolutely not a burden @WIP It can feel like that when we are so low but please know you are not at all and we are here for you ...not just because we care but also know how hard it is to be feeling as you are ...so you are not alone with us all here with you Do what you need to do tonight to get through - and if that means talking here to us then we are with you I have to organise dinner right now but will look out for you 👍

@WIP ,

I know I've said this many times, but I've seen you battle-on. You are a soldier. Sometimes, we may feel like waving the white flag of surrender, but all you need to do is stand still. You have overcome many obstacles.

To me, you've proved yourself much stronger than you think. Your strength never ceases to amaze me. This is YOUR thread - YOUR journey. Go through and re-read from post # 1, you'll be amazed at how far you've come!

Biggest hugs ever,

BPDSurvivor

Today has been 1000 times worse @Bow

I woke to an extremely upsetting text from sister. She meant to send it to my Mum, but sent it to me - so now I know how they both talk about me behind my back. My sister in particular.

I have no support, no hope and no desire to get better - cause I don't see the point. I have no one.

Are you still in hospital. I hope your physical health is improving.

Sqwishy hugs 🤗🤗🤗

Re: Changing meds

Oh @WIP that's awful!!!!!!!!

I had similar happen to me where my Dad thought he'd hung up but didn't. Heard a very "colourful character assessment" of myself. Still hurts and it was a lifetime ago.

Sitting with you too sweetheart.
