Changing meds

Changing meds

Hi. I battled MDD & acute anxiety nearly all of my adult life. I've been on numerous different SSRIs, SRNIs, antipsychotics, tried rTMS & ECT. Am addicted to a benzo for my anxiety.

I am in the process of swapping out from a SRNI to a MAOI and the wash out period is hell. I really don't think I'm going to make it. This is the darkest place I have ever been.
I have no family support, honestly no friends, not able to work & are completely isolated.

i don't feel my medical team actually care much anymore, they are overwhelmed by new clients because of covid.

i hardly sleep, but the last thing in my mind before I do, is how much I want to die. It's the first thought of the day when I wake up.

what if this new medication doesn't work either??

I can't express enough how happy I am to see you @WIP

I am so sorry you are not doing well and your anxiety is up with the upcoming visit from you sister and family. I tend to get anxious about things in the future, my therapist said I need to work on living in the present, it's hard but it certainly helps when I do. Are you able to dig deep L? Give it a go? I know we are in very different headspace so I do understand if you don't hear me but I hope you can. It's coming from my heart I'm certainly not trying to make comparisons.

So hospital, with a new pdoc...scary, yes definitely.

Can I tell you my boy has improved with his stay so far. I was soooo anti and when he finally opened up with his headspace I was all for it. Still an extremely long way to go but he was right he needed this. Perhaps twist it in your mind as a "health retreat" one where you go in as you are and come out the other end with HOPE and a glimmer of a bright future? Worth a shot? I think so L. 💕

I will not let your hand go for a second, proud to call you my friend L. Love you lots x💕🙏

@Former-Member hello sweetheart, it's good to see you. I'm sorry you feel the way you do. We are all here supporting each other hunny so please just relax and post wherever you like. My story is Trying to stay Sane you are always welcome to go there and chat/update us 💕

Alternatively start a new thread, call it Pippi's story or something like that...you don't have to have a story but it gives you a sense of belonging. Perhaps start it with what you have done today, tag me and I'll pop over and tell you about my day, sound good?

Hugs Pippi x
