Changing meds

Hi. I battled MDD & acute anxiety nearly all of my adult life. I've been on numerous different SSRIs, SRNIs, antipsychotics, tried rTMS & ECT. Am addicted to a benzo for my anxiety.

I am in the process of swapping out from a SRNI to a MAOI and the wash out period is hell. I really don't think I'm going to make it. This is the darkest place I have ever been.
I have no family support, honestly no friends, not able to work & are completely isolated.

i don't feel my medical team actually care much anymore, they are overwhelmed by new clients because of covid.

i hardly sleep, but the last thing in my mind before I do, is how much I want to die. It's the first thought of the day when I wake up.

what if this new medication doesn't work either??

They are most appreciated - I've had an awful week.
My new pdocs view of me was tainted by my previous pdoc. I was accused of psychiatrist shopping and he didn't want to go around and around like a merry go round.


He will only help me with a hospital admission. So I'll be going in, in 2 1/2 weeks.

2 1/2 weeks to stress and be anxious as I know what's coming 🥲

Thanks for thinking of me over the long weekend. I haven't been travelling too good, since the news of the hospital admission. Plus, my sister, nephew and niece will be down at the end of the week. I know I should be excited, but I'm petrified. My mind is telling me to be scared of the experience and I'll end up in tears in front of them.

How's your long weekend been? I haven't been online at all, too sad with nothing to contribute.

Im so very scared of hospital that I went on a drinking bender of the holidays, so now feel even worse.

I just want you to know I care about you very much and have missed you lately.

I didn’t think I’d survive last year but I have and sometimes I have glimmer of hope for a future not just for me but for you also.

Hoping we can both go one step at a time and head forwards. Even if that means hospital and setbacks but if we go together hopefully we’ll get there together.
