Changing meds

Changing meds

Hi. I battled MDD & acute anxiety nearly all of my adult life. I've been on numerous different SSRIs, SRNIs, antipsychotics, tried rTMS & ECT. Am addicted to a benzo for my anxiety.

I am in the process of swapping out from a SRNI to a MAOI and the wash out period is hell. I really don't think I'm going to make it. This is the darkest place I have ever been.
I have no family support, honestly no friends, not able to work & are completely isolated.

i don't feel my medical team actually care much anymore, they are overwhelmed by new clients because of covid.

i hardly sleep, but the last thing in my mind before I do, is how much I want to die. It's the first thought of the day when I wake up.

what if this new medication doesn't work either??

Re: Changing meds

Your patience has clearly been rewarded @WIP with this unexpected apt opening up for you at such short notice. I have everything crossed in the hope that he can do as he says ... in that he believes he can help you.

I feel much happier now, knowing you are no longer relying on your former pdoc. The one you had no confidence or trust in.

Hugs dear lady.

Re: Changing meds

Footy starts tonight - makes me remember my Dad, fondly this year actually. Not filled with deep

sadness.

Don't know how he would have coped with securing a seat for a home game, when the MGC crowd is capped at 50,000, and the AFL (in thei wisdom) distributed the majority of seats to the reining premiers.

Come high or low, he would have got there - this was a man who didn't miss a Carlton game in Victoria since he was 11 y.o VFL/AFL & thankfully not too many games down at Kardinia Park.

Dad, I know you'll be looking down tonight (with doubts), but let's hope the baggers give it a red hot go. Eddie is out, as is Martin, but I'll be happy to see JSOS having a run.

Love you Dad! Xx A special day in the calendar for you every year.

@Anastasia That sounds like a glorious place to be with you. Hair is our face. The scent of flowers and no care in the world......If only.
It's very healthy to imagine tho xx
