Sorry I wasnt around over the past hour or two. I too went for a nice long shower ... needed it for the same reason as you I think Myboy. @Anastasia @WIP
I'm really sorry that yesterday was such a significant anniversary for you @Anastasia ... but my goodness ... things have improved so much with your son since that day. You have worked wonders and achieved so much in getting him back on track. Without you Myboy ... your boy would not be here. Please remember that.
@WIP ... your Mum clearly loves you so much. And good Mums always want whats best for their loved ones, and will do everything in their power to achieve that. I'm glad your Mum had a lovely time with your sister and her grandchildren. Its sad that you did not feel able to visit as well. But her joy at seeing them, does not lessen her obvious love for you or her desire to see you happy and well. I think everyone has their challenges, some more visible or obvious than others ... some seemingly harder to overcome. But at the end of the day, I dont think anybody really has life easy. Its more about how we deal with those challenges. But please WIP, never feel guilty for burdening your Mum ... she would not want it any other way. She certainly would not want the alternative .. that of not having you at all. She would never be better off without you. You say she would be able to enjoy her grandchildren more if you were not around. Has it occurred to you that if she was to lose you ... its highly likely that she would NOT be able to enjoy her grandchildren at all ... she would be too heartbroken, and may never recover from that.
I hope you are both feeling a little better now. I've not long finished dinner ... a Sri Lankan fish curry. Not one I made myself, but it was very nice. My stepdaughter gave my husband and I a gift voucher for a home cooked food delivery service for Christmas. I hadnt ordered until fairly recently. It comes frozen and ready to keep in the freezer, and you just defrost when you need them. So far ... its been pretty good overall. I've found their curries to be consistently good. So it was an easy dinner for me tonight. Just needed to cook some accompanying rice and a cucumber side salad. And heat up the fish curry until the fish was cooked and the sauce bubbly hot.
How is Levy today @WIP ? And your puppy @Anastasia ? My Holly has been very smoochie all day. Cute.
