Changing meds

Changing meds

Hi. I battled MDD & acute anxiety nearly all of my adult life. I've been on numerous different SSRIs, SRNIs, antipsychotics, tried rTMS & ECT. Am addicted to a benzo for my anxiety.

I am in the process of swapping out from a SRNI to a MAOI and the wash out period is hell. I really don't think I'm going to make it. This is the darkest place I have ever been.
I have no family support, honestly no friends, not able to work & are completely isolated.

i don't feel my medical team actually care much anymore, they are overwhelmed by new clients because of covid.

i hardly sleep, but the last thing in my mind before I do, is how much I want to die. It's the first thought of the day when I wake up.

what if this new medication doesn't work either??

Dear @WIP ... thinking of you today and hoping you are doing okay. Not sure what your apt schedule looked like this week, but I really hope you are getting the support you need right now. Hang in there sweetie. Hugs to you and cuddles for Levi.

Hi everyone @Anastasia @BPDSurvivor @outlander @Emelia8 @Eve7 @Bow @oceangirl @TAB @Judi9877

I've been struggling and still struggling, so only been up to using the support buttons to your posts.

I really appreciate all of you for your kind words and thoughts.

Tomorrow is DBT group (via zoom - damn lockdown), so I hope to be able to make it through that. Didn't last week - had to leave at break time in uncontrollable tears.

Take care everyone xx

Re: Changing meds

Glad y'day wasn't all bad @TAB Treats sound lovely - lucky you.

im going to have to go thru a med withdrawal in the coming months - not looking forward to it, but has to be done. I'm too unstable atm to start it.

Sorry you feel ordinary this morning. You'll improve slowly - as you said 'it's temporary & you've had worse day'

Ill be thinking of you and sending strength
