Changing meds

Changing meds

Hi. I battled MDD & acute anxiety nearly all of my adult life. I've been on numerous different SSRIs, SRNIs, antipsychotics, tried rTMS & ECT. Am addicted to a benzo for my anxiety.

I am in the process of swapping out from a SRNI to a MAOI and the wash out period is hell. I really don't think I'm going to make it. This is the darkest place I have ever been.
I have no family support, honestly no friends, not able to work & are completely isolated.

i don't feel my medical team actually care much anymore, they are overwhelmed by new clients because of covid.

i hardly sleep, but the last thing in my mind before I do, is how much I want to die. It's the first thought of the day when I wake up.

what if this new medication doesn't work either??

Thank you so much @Anastasia

Got some sleep - took too many meds though. Woke a bit woozy.

Appreciate your pics about Hope.

I don't have much of it at the moment, but I keep trying.

Hi to everyone else who helped last night @Eve7 @Bow @Emelia8 and anyone else I've missed. I saw you all had a good time catching up.
sorry, I just wasn't up to being online.

Good to see you @WIP ... I have my sister (who lives 6 hours away, but visiting her friends 2 hours away) visiting shortly for lunch, but I will catch up with you when I can.

Much love and a big hug to you, and cuddle for Levi.

Emelia 💕🤗

I hope you have a nice lunch catch up @Emelia8

Thank you for your kind thoughts...you too @Anastasia You're both very kind.

Yes, I need to be careful with my sleeping med intake - but I was just so desperate for the thoughts in my head and the uncontrollable tears to stop. The pain is experience nearly every day is pretty much unbearable - and it's been going on for so, so long. Sometimes I feel like I'd do anything to make it stop. I hope that makes sense and you don't think less of me.

Have a lovely day both of you. Mum is coming over this afternoon - I've pushed her away all week and we've had words a few times, so I hope we don't upset each other.

Love L & Levi

Re: Changing meds

Hey @WIP

Sorry to see you have been having such a tough time. What you are expressing makes absolute sense, desperately wanting the pain to stop. But @Anastasia is right (thanks MyBoy), it is important that we are taking the prescribed dosage and trying our best to find alternative ways of coping with the pain. I am really glad you continue reaching out here for support and have such lovely members here for you, and please remember to reach out to helplines or other supports if and when you need

Thanks @Former-Member

Appreciate the words of support and encouragement. I understand and agree with what you said.

The pain was just too much y'day, and I hadn't slept for so long.

Its hard enough to function with my chronic illness, but without sleep, it's even harder.
