Changing meds

Changing meds

Hi. I battled MDD & acute anxiety nearly all of my adult life. I've been on numerous different SSRIs, SRNIs, antipsychotics, tried rTMS & ECT. Am addicted to a benzo for my anxiety.

I am in the process of swapping out from a SRNI to a MAOI and the wash out period is hell. I really don't think I'm going to make it. This is the darkest place I have ever been.
I have no family support, honestly no friends, not able to work & are completely isolated.

i don't feel my medical team actually care much anymore, they are overwhelmed by new clients because of covid.

i hardly sleep, but the last thing in my mind before I do, is how much I want to die. It's the first thought of the day when I wake up.

what if this new medication doesn't work either??

Oh, I don't know @Eve7 Feels like the camels back is getting a few hits itself.

Doctor isn't concerned that it's fractured or broken. The bruising around the eyes can take time to appear and come out from a head injury apparently. The blood vessels take time to swell. I did the wrong thing by using heat - I should have used ice.

I have a terrible headache, and feel like everyone is looking at me, even though my mask covers some of the bruising.

one more errand to run, the. I'm going home to have a big cry.

Keep using ice @WIP and remember straw can’t hurt you or the camel’s back.

Oh @Eve7 I just broke down at the Centrelink office. The poor staff there - having to deal with a tearful, badly bruised, shaking woman.

I went in about an exemption I've applied for with Jobseeker and the lady started asking all these questions, I got overwhelmed and then she asked do you have a partner,'do you live alone and It just set me off.
They got everything sorted after calling the manager over and her asking do you need our social worker to check on you.

I dont know who I am anymore????
I'm this pathetic, incapable, weak individual - and I hate myself.

I can't even look at myself in the mirror.

This life is too hard.

Oh dear @WIP I am here with you.

It will not always be like this for you and it sounds like they were kind to you at Centrelink so please see that as something good happening today.

Are you doing the mood journal? Maybe that will help today and I’ll make us a cuppa.

Hi @WIP

I am sorry to hear today is less than good day for you.

I want to encourage you and let you know, you're not weak - you are strong and show yourself a bit of grace and empathy. We have just been through a very stressful time and the holiday season can add to that stress. Sometimes our bodies appreciates the breather afterwards but also lets everything out all at once. Please reaching out to us.

Are you with someone at the moment?

Thinking about you,

Thank you @Former-Member

I had to call my Mum to come over, because I'm not in a good place at all.

I appreciate your follow up
