Changing meds

Changing meds

Hi. I battled MDD & acute anxiety nearly all of my adult life. I've been on numerous different SSRIs, SRNIs, antipsychotics, tried rTMS & ECT. Am addicted to a benzo for my anxiety.

I am in the process of swapping out from a SRNI to a MAOI and the wash out period is hell. I really don't think I'm going to make it. This is the darkest place I have ever been.
I have no family support, honestly no friends, not able to work & are completely isolated.

i don't feel my medical team actually care much anymore, they are overwhelmed by new clients because of covid.

i hardly sleep, but the last thing in my mind before I do, is how much I want to die. It's the first thought of the day when I wake up.

what if this new medication doesn't work either??

Re: Changing meds

You have had huge days @WIP that have all just run into each other ouch!

I’m so glad your mum liked the flowers. You are such a thoughtful daughter.

So now it’s all happening for you...the start of new beginnings. I’m excited for you my friend and so pleased with your new support team.

I have already walked this morning then had breakfast with friends...now I’m pooped!

I am seeing the hand therapist today and I have a training session with my athletes this afternoon before pizza night at S2’s house.

Take care hon

I hope tomorrow goes well too @WIP . I’ll be thinking of you 💙

I saw a hand therapist @Anastasia @to do exercises for my wrist. It’s where it should be for now.

I hope you both sleep well tonight.

Hi darling @Anastasia

First DBT class done and dusted - went really well. I've been looking forward to it. I know one of the instructors from when I was in hospital (not sure if she remembered me, as the session was over zoom). The other participants seem really nice - all females - without own different and similar issues.
It was justvexviting for me to mix with people, as I've been isolated for so long - all of 2019,'the only human contact being Mum, the pharmacist and psychologist. We've got homework, so that'll keep me busy!

How are you going me dear friend? Any improvement on the pain and discomfort you are in? Thinking of you! 💞💞

FYI @BPDSurvivor

Re: Changing meds

How are you going beautiful @Eve7 ?

Anytime scheduled for when you can get that pain in the butt cast off your wrist. You'll feel like a new woman when it's gone and truely be able to gauge the effectiveness of your recent ECT. From

experiemce, having ECT And then having a traumatic event dumped in you lap, makes its really difficilt to say how effective the ECT was.

but you've done super well, since discharge, so I think that the treatment has worked this far ✔️✔️

Its a wet drizzly day here today & I didn't sleep

well. Levi has had his morning 'zoomies' acticitu where he runs around and jumps on anything he can, so he's no peacefully resting at my feet in bed.

Re: Changing meds

Hello my friend @WIP

I’ve just seen my Psychologist which was a bit emotional today as it’s the anniversary of h’s passing tomorrow. Psych said I could ring him tomorrow if needed and when I reminded him it was Saturday he said that’s ok...nice to have that sort of support.

Next appointment is for an X-ray of my wrist then I’ll know the outcome on Tuesday when I see the surgeon so 🤞🤞Maybe return to work and driving next week!!!

Its super hot here today but I think we have more rain forecast.

Hope your day picks up and give Levi a hug from me.
