Changing meds

Changing meds

Hi. I battled MDD & acute anxiety nearly all of my adult life. I've been on numerous different SSRIs, SRNIs, antipsychotics, tried rTMS & ECT. Am addicted to a benzo for my anxiety.

I am in the process of swapping out from a SRNI to a MAOI and the wash out period is hell. I really don't think I'm going to make it. This is the darkest place I have ever been.
I have no family support, honestly no friends, not able to work & are completely isolated.

i don't feel my medical team actually care much anymore, they are overwhelmed by new clients because of covid.

i hardly sleep, but the last thing in my mind before I do, is how much I want to die. It's the first thought of the day when I wake up.

what if this new medication doesn't work either??

Re: Changing meds

This is the lily plant I bought. I have white ones too. Not sure when they'll flower again. @WIP @Emelia8 @Anastasia 🥰

Re: Changing meds

I love gardenias too - they smell amazing. I'm also a fan of roses, the lighter coloured ones - cream, yellow, peach. Red roses don't really do much for me.

I love Singapore Orchids and Gerberas.

I can't grow plants/flowers to save myself, so I buy myself a bunch of flowers every now and then @Former-Member

Dear L such a difficult day. You are a beautiful daughter buying your Mum gardenias. I am sure today's match will be an emotional one. Thinking of you and sending you gentle hugs and lots of love 🤗💞😘

@WIP

I love lily plants @Former-Member 🤗💞

Re: Changing meds

I haven't had huge success with plants either @WIP I mostly get cuttings from other people's plants and try and regrow them. Like my lavender and gardenia. Bulbs I know survive quite well in the heat. I go through stages. Sometimes I have zero energy to even water my plants. The strong ones survive. 🥺😬

I'm looking forward to the white lily flowers to bloom. I'll try and remember to show a photo. @Anastasia

Trying to catch up on washing here. We've had non stop rain for days. I have a dryer, but it can cause mould on the ceilings. So I prefer not to use it if possible

Re: Changing meds

I try not to use my dryer too @Former-Member as it draws so much electricity and when I get the bill I regret having used it.

I am down to two pot plants from dozens. I gave the others away I just couldn't look after them all as well as people. So I have 2 happy plants. One was my mum's that she gave me about 25 years ago. I've re potted it a couple of times and it has even flowered once. In writing this I realise I haven't talked to it in a couple of years, I used to. I must.

The other is one I rescued from a rubbish pile that I stuck in soil and it's looks beautiful now. @WIP

Re: Changing meds

Hi @Eve7

I've had two consecutive emotionally charged days (Dads anniversary &'finding out an elderly family friend that akin in nominated 'carer' form was taken to emergency late Sat night &then poor fellow with him dimensia is confused about what it going on etc) and then y'day have. 3 hours assessment in preparation for my DBT Course that commences Wednesday, plus a psychologist appt y'day.

So it's fair to say I've experienced a numerous amount of emotions over the past few days & feeling pretty pooped today!

At least Mum loves the floral arrangement I bought her Dads anniversary. Just a shame the hot weather is going to lessen their lifespan
Hownare you going inspiring @Eve7 -'our walking inspiration?

Love L & Levi
