Changing meds

Changing meds

Hi. I battled MDD & acute anxiety nearly all of my adult life. I've been on numerous different SSRIs, SRNIs, antipsychotics, tried rTMS & ECT. Am addicted to a benzo for my anxiety.

I am in the process of swapping out from a SRNI to a MAOI and the wash out period is hell. I really don't think I'm going to make it. This is the darkest place I have ever been.
I have no family support, honestly no friends, not able to work & are completely isolated.

i don't feel my medical team actually care much anymore, they are overwhelmed by new clients because of covid.

i hardly sleep, but the last thing in my mind before I do, is how much I want to die. It's the first thought of the day when I wake up.

what if this new medication doesn't work either??

So glad the tradie finally turned up @Former-Member

I'll cross my fingers and toes that he finishes this week for you 🤞

Just such unnecessary stress for you!

I'll get through this crappy time of year. I just seem to be worse each year.
Ive gotta 'keep punching kid' as my Dad used to say when he knew I was really, really struggling.

Thats all he could muster up to say.

i miss my Dad.

We'll get through it together @WIP

Aww! Hugs for missing your dad. Me too. Mine was short on words too. But I could feel that he loved me very much. A special man, he was. He was sensitive too. I think he had CPTSD from the war. At least he's at peace now. I found some chocolate, so I had to have a 3rd cuppa. Usually only have 2. 😬

Yes! We will get through it together - thank you @Former-Member .

I've just had a crumpet with vegemite -'feeling a little less hungover, thankfully.

Hope you are enjoying your chocolate and coffee.

My Dad has PTSD too, as a result of our family car accident. He never got treatment for it.. Well, he did at the beginning and the meds they put him on, turned him into terrible mess. Ashe didn't stay on them very long thankfully. But he was never able to work again, and that hit him hard. Hit all of us hard and changed the family dynamic immensely. He's at peace now, looking down & keeping a close on the AFL - Carlton was his passion, up and beyond us family. We've still got memorabilia stuff to sell yet.

Re: Changing meds

Good on you for having a nap. Sleep helps, that's for sure. I'm going to have to head out to the plaza again. Yikes!
Sad about our dads. 😢

Do you have ptsd as well? I'm not sure if I mentioned to you that I struggle with CPTSD, (plus other :pile_of_poo:).
I don't know about the accident you mentioned, If you don't mind sharing sometime??

Sleep well. Chat later. 🥰🌺. @WIP

Re: Changing meds

Thankfully not too many people at Bunnings today @WIP

I find it overwhelming trying to find and choose things there though. Super hot too. No air con. Now I need to sort dinner. 😬🤔🤗

Re: Changing meds

Glad to hear you made it through your exercise at Bunnings.

I imagine it would've been quite busy.
well done.

hope something yummy is on the menu for dinner, I just had an egg on toast. Filled the spot.

Re: Changing meds

73 percent humidity and no air con at Bunnings @WIP
Omelette here. Nice and easy.
How's your dog going? I think I read he/she has a sore ear??? Boy or girl dog?
I remember you have a cavoodle, is that right? And @Snowie does too, I think??

I had a poodle many years ago and a Cavalier. A cavoodle sounds perfect.
I'm going to switch off for a while and watch a series.
🥰

Re: Changing meds

Everything totally sucks. People are so incredibly hurtful. I don't understand at all.
