Over-Doers Anonymous

Over-Doers Anonymous

Hi everyone

I have started a thread where we can share and help others by being able to discuss what happens when we do too much and pay for it

We can sympathise, empathise, share with each other - and maybe feel less idiotic about doing whatever it was that we didn't notice at the time

@FaithandHope like this idea - or maybe it was @Former-Member - but whichever - both of you will get a message knowing that I have started this

All right - for the first entry - I told someone my back felt better because I have been wearing better shoes - and we went outside into a freezing half-gale - that was not clever - but then - like everyone else - I have to go shopping

It's settled - but I am sure other people over-do - and yes - feel free to add your story

Re: Over-Doers Anonymous

An interesting thread @Decadian. I overdosed. Mostly I just don't sit still. I push my own boundaries, I miss sleep when very much in over-do. But I just feel it's me. I've often wondered why I am like this. It's painful when I'm on a tangent, to just be so tired of it. Then I stop. Completely disregard the whole cooked up idea. And classically start over. My partner says he obese my kookiness. Since joking the forum's & hearing about others experiences, I feel less bothered by it. I know I'm sane! As every mad person will tell you 😜!!

Hi @Former-Member

Spelling is the least of my worry in these forums - or threads -

I get it - you over-do and he loves your kookiness

And you know that the English say there's nothing so queer as folks - and there's another saying

The whole world's mad except you and me etc - I think we are all different and here - and this thread is my thread - we can be as kooky as we like because we have to find the funny side of over-doing

Re: Over-Doers Anonymous

Thanks @Decadian, i overdid it this week in the garden & lifting heavy things. Pain because i put my upper back out when I'm all motivated with these unseasonal warmer days. Think this happens with bipolar mania / highs - push push push the wonder woman vision until she crashes. I've crashed physically first this time.
Its really hard to know our limits when they keep changing.
Thanks for this thread 🙂

Incredibly true @Decadian! I love those English sayings. Some things just can't be any truer than the spoken word!
In some part I think over-doing is like a riddle, that's unraveling ...no truer is it until it's story masterfully unfolds through the doing. I do like riddles! 😊

Re: Over-Doers Anonymous

Hey @Decadian, can you start a thread for the under-doers to, those of us who think of the doing but somehow don't quite get to do although maybe we are the over-doers in our mind. Confused, you probably should be!🤔😳 rambling really😶

Re: Over-Doers Anonymous

Hey @Former-Member - how are you - I haven't seen you for a day or so - I know you weren't crash hot for a while

I think what you want is a thread for Procastinators - I have tried to procrastinate but I can never get around to it

And @Former-Member - I love riddles and old sayings too - I might add some in'

But how do we know when we have done exactly the right amount - before we start rolling down hill but still don't put things off?

That is the question - that is the riddle - that is the moment of truth

Ah - oh yes - Decadian

Re: Over-Doers Anonymous

Hi @Decadian,

im OK, having my usual end of week roller coaster and trying to come to terms with the fact that this could be my life. Feeling a bit serious tonight. I've been trying to not come on here during the day because it was taking over my life but I often sneak on to see what is happening so I've mostly kept up with you. Because I'm on at night I'm also sticking a fair bit to night shift but try to keep in contact with you and a few others too. It seems like you've had ups and downs too but it's good to see you finding ways to fill your creative needs too, like this thread. 💜😊

Tis True that is the moment of truth @ decadian!
@Former-Member that makes perfect sense. Definitely worlds pass through the mind. Thinking takes much doing after all.
Some people just don't think! Point blank!
I can laugh and say I see moments of truth when my partner tells me 'go to bed'!!! Lol.
