Somethings wrong

Somethings wrong

Hi. I'm sorry for posting. Apparently I've been here many years ago because I had a log in I didn't know I had. Obviously I've been struggling for some time. I read some of my old posts and things have changed a little. I have a new therapist who I've been seeing for maybe 18months I think.. a while anyway and recently she said she thinks I have DID. I don't think so. I hear voices and I dissociate- like space out or freeze when overwhelmed. I don't have any trauma. Anyway the point is more I was trying to

sort out this confusion and listening to a podcast today whole driving and she was talking about attachment and being terrified of any kind of relationships but also desperately needing them but not knowing how to be comfortable in one so ruining it before it has a chance. Even therapy. Or like over analysing things people do as some test or rejection. Anyway it really overwhelmed me because it was so relatable and then I felt so horrible I just wanted to drive into the bush and not come out. My psych is now on leave for 2 weeks so I don't know what to do. I feel out of it and I know this might sound real odd but for some

reason I've been seeing this chair from my brothers childhood room in my head and feeling sick and I can't stop thinking of it. I can't get hepp

from any family or friends just usually my psych and they're on leave now so

what do I do.

I'm having a hard time. Feel like all time is hard but then there are sometimes when I just feel dread and my head is full of bad thought and I don't know how long I can go on. I'm so tired of fighting myself. I don't see how things would ever get better when it's myself who I need to get away from. I don't know what to do

hi @destructive i can very much relate. mental health can be so so hard sometimes and dealing with it on a daily basis is really draining. i often wish i could run away from myself too but i guess thats not possible. for me because i know what a hard life people can have i try to help others as much as i can. it seems thats the only real way i can live with myself.

Re: Somethings wrong

Hey @destructive so sorry you're having these thoughts. It's like Outlander said - unfortunately we can't run away from ourselves. We can learn how to live with ourselves, and listen to those parts that help tell us who we are and what our values are.

Please don't hesitate to reach out for support if you need it, and know that we're never too far away.

Re: Somethings wrong

@Jynx thanks. Nothing those lines can really do. They just make you scared because what can they do if they think you're unsafe other than send you to hospital. I know what'd happen. It's not always any better actually worse. I just need a labotomy

Re: Somethings wrong

So I thought the extended Medicare sessions was a good thing but had to go back to GP for a new referral and 'review'. I'm seeing a new GP because my old one was too far. Therapist writes a letter to ask for a review and GP says the letter says I have DID. WTF? I'm a mixture of annoyed (because it's not the first tome I've been diagnosed without knowing and with something big and something I disagree with) overwhelmingly anxious (because now the GP thinks I ha e DID when I don't), and feeling guilty (like somehow I've tricked them into thinking this). I couldn't say anything about it because I was too anxious and so she wrote it in the referral back. Once again something not true about me is in writing all over the place. Feeling overwhelmed
