I can understand the shame @Former-Member
When I SH (which seems to be alot lately) I feel an enormous amount of shame.
We sometimes are our own worse enemy hun.

I think I understand @Snowie with the self harm. I don't do that, but I drink. It's so shameful. But I think I know what you mean. I did try to "you know what " earlier in the year, several times.

It's so shameful, because I was brought up in a so called proper family. Parents never drank etc and anything out of the ordinary was "oh my gosh"

Yet family cover up the things that are really shameful

I have tried "you know what" too hun, many times, and always feel the shame and guilt afterwards.
Even just with the thoughts of SI which have been very high lately, I feel the shame.
It is hard when family cover those things @Former-Member On the outside everything seems normal and fine but underneath things are not ok.

The only solution for me is to block out family. Which I have. It was hard at first @Snowie because my life used to be family. If I remember, your mum lives with you. Do you think that's a good idea?

Hey @Emelia8 I notice your support there. Are you ok? Lots of love to you 💜

It is hard when we have to block out family. I have had to block out some of my family which has caused a big rift in my family. Some can accept it but some cannot. My mum is one that cannot accept it and causes me lots of grief over it.
Yes @Former-Member she does live with me, but in her own separate unit.

I used to feel so guilty about looking after family. But, honestly, why when they cover up @Snowie
