Just put the Irish stew in the slow cooker for our St Patrick's Day celebration tomorrow. The recipe I'm trying said to cook it the day before and refrigerate overnight...here's hoping. @Snowie @tyme

Ohhh @Eve7 that sounds yummy. I love using my slow cooker. I hope it turns out well for you. At least you won't have to cook tomorrow night!

The Great St Patrick's Day Family celebration is over for another year. There were 11 of us so both my kids . their partners and kids came along to eat the Irish Stew and drink the Guiness. I wore some clothes I bought online...shoes with shamrocks, green tutu and shamrock shirt. Everyone else just wore green.
I think everyone enjoyed themselves and the baby of the family (now 3 months old) was passed around for all to cuddle. It is lovely having a baby in the family. He is just so pure and his skin is so soft.
I have survived the day so feeling pretty chuffed as even last Friday I almost called it off. A win for sure. I hope all are ok...wishing you the best of the Irish, may the road rise to meet you...and may God keep you in the palm of His hand.
