Suicidal AF

Suicidal AF

Need to hang on with this for another few months.
All I want/am capable of is staying in bed all day. That is not an option unfortunately.
How do I 'suck it up' and get through the next few months despite an almost continuous train of thought telling me to end it today?

Re: Suicidal AF

I'm not a huge fan of thunder either. Yeah you could say that about your question about music, defining a moment in a day.

Piano is relaxing @anewhope

@Former-Member - I think for me the fear of thunder is the lack of control, hearing it outside without the fear makes me feel like I am in control and can turn off the thunder whenever I have had enough of it.

I find spotify in my car is able to find the exact song to play, although its scanning my previous song requests it always manages to find the song that suits my mood and even manages to brighten it.

I wonder if you would like to play "quote the first song in your head".

For me just then it was Michael Jackson - Thriller. I have always wanted to learn the dance so I can join in parties but unfortunately my skills of dancing may leave much to be desired hehe.

My favourite mood upbringing song would likely be the "Conerning Hobbits" scene from Lord of the rings. It reminds me of when I was younger, I built a little home theatre in my bedroom (just a cheap projector and some white paint on the walls haha). I did the paint while my parents were away so it was a big surprise that I did it hehe. I put some cheap speakers around the room, and then tried to find a spot for the bed. Would you believe I would lift the single bed and base up against the wall each time I wanted to watch a movie. It was one of my most memorable experiences and has this amazing ability to hold true to this day.

This song makes me feel like a Or The Lord of the Rings - May It Be by Enya. This song has always made me feel like things will be ok even if they are not that great at the moment.

Interesting, I don't think I've ever seen LOTR, not that I know of anyway. I don't watch many movies or TV or read.

Yes we can play that game. First song that pops into my head randomly I'll say would be Jeremy by Pearl Jam. I like that song and band, and that video and song is a tragic true story. It's a good song though. @anewhope

Re: Suicidal AF

It is a particular triology that is quite long indeed but does allow you to escape to a middle earth style story that seems to be told so well.

I noticed an amazing looking Sunflower in your Avatar picture, could I ask if you are an avid Gardener? I love gardening, it is one of the things that gives me such hope that a small little seed can be so confident in the most interesting locations to find its home, and that some plants are so entrusting in help from bees to germinate. Although plants have no eyes they can put so much trust in something they can't see (just like the members on saneforums that find the courage to ask for help and offer it).

The story behind Jeremy Pearl Jam is tragic you are very right. Music does have this ability to tell stories (even without seeing it told visually).

I found that picture on Google, like all of my old profile pictures. They have many nice photos. I found that just searching floral pictures or something.

I haven't done much gardening because we don't have the best soil where I live, although some flowers have been growing for a while so that's good. But I'd like to learn how to do it, yes.

I agree, music is powerful @anewhope

Re: Suicidal AF

Hi @Former-Member
I rarely come on here, but I was reading through this post....

Do you mean you are, for now, bedridden, or, do you mean you would prefer to stay in bed and that is not a possibility, due to commitments?

I haven't seen that clarified anywhere.

I'll keep coming back online to check your reply. It seems almost like you've gotten lost on your own thread...I know how that can feel, too 😉
Hugs 🙂
