Darkness

Darkness

Well it's been a hellish few weeks, I have fallen into the rabbit hole and there seems no escape this time. The darkness has come and it thicker than the fires of hell.

Things just don't seem to going right at all and my MH is just getting worse and worse. Not sleeping (afraid to sleep) not eating and not taking my meds. I know this doesn't help but why bother because when I am on them I either feel zone out or that they do nothing anyways. I didn't make it work today, got to the front and was physically sick and froze again. Crawled back into bed where I stayed untill I had an unexpected call.

My 3 main MH professional and I in a conference call, at the end of the call I was given a choice be sectioned or have my ex move back in temporarily to provide around the clock monitoring, this means for at least two weeks of him being here making sure I eat, take my meds and be present for all appointments and no SH. I am not happy about either option but because of teenager trauma in a MH hospital I am taking the ex.

I will not be as active as normal but I will check in. but like tonight, I may just support posts as I am struggling to even type this. So @Snowie @eth @Lee82 @Eden1919 @Purplerain @Lotusgirl amd anyone I missed I will be getting the care I need and will be safe. To some of the newest forum members please forgive me if it takes a bit for me to get back to you.

I haven't heard about the one hour rule though is that just in your area or is that across the board?

Yes, it's for all Stage 4 areas, @Lee82 , it will really bite.

Hey @Lee82 I didn't get into the garden. I haven't been well - went to work this morning but had to come home so will be on the couch for the day now hoping I feel better to be able to go to work tomorrow.

Hope you have some good in your day today Hon ...and the same to you too @Former-Member

Re: Darkness

I'm so sorry you aren't feeling well today hun. Hopefully with a little rest and recoup you will feel better for tomorrow.
nothing much happening today @Zoe7 . Just home schooling and then both boys have tomorrow off and my oldest also has Wednesday off. Then buckling down for another 6 weeks minimum of home schooling 😕

Re: Darkness

I hope resting will help too @Lee82 I have been pretty much doing that over the weekend but maybe another day of it will help. I can't eat much either as it hurts my stomach.

6 more weeks of home learning is a lot Hon. Just take it day by day and get done with the kids what you can. I know you put a lot of pressure on yourself - especially with your boy that is already behind - but you can only do what you can and that is enough.

Re: Darkness

Well I really hope you feel better soon hun. I will be thinking of you.
I do put a lot of pressure on myself but that's only because he needs all the help he can get. He can not afford to fall anymore behind. I cannot just not teach him some days because I am having a bad MH day and cannot stay present. He needs more than that. He deserves better than I can give him. 😕

Re: Darkness

That is where I disagree @Lee82 Your best is good enough under the circumstances. It is not easy having the kids at home and doing home learning. You have taken steps before this new lockdown to get your son that extra help and hopefully when this is all over he will receive that. Know also that every kid learns at their own pace and in their own way and although he may seem really far behind right now if those extra steps to get him help are put into place when school is actually back then he can begin catching up a bit then too. Their social-emotional wellbeing is just as important (maybe more important particularly in these times) than his academic ability right now - so making sure he is happy, healthy and engaged in what he is doing should be the priority.
