Chronic kidney disease & mental health

hello everyone

i have found some information on the sane forum for Kidney disease and mental health

i thought i was feeling ok with being diagnosed with kidney dease stage 4 with only one kidney

which means my only one kidney is working at 21%

now my specialist is wanting me to register to go on the kidney transplant

I am feeling so tired and sometimes it is hard to keep on keeping on

i am feeling soo many emotions at the moment

i have forms to get started to go on the list for a transplant

i also have diabetes which makes it hard and sometimes feeling overwhelmed

my mr shaz wants to be a living donor , he will have to go through the same tests as me

haha yes of course, it's not the same without the snacks 😉 @Shaz51 it's good to know that they won't cost much, but i can see how learning it can take some time. it is nice having that support from nurses, and seeing some friendly face when you go visit.

They are fixing me with 2 attachment so I am able to do both options

Yes if I lived in the city I would walk in

But we don't

The attachment have to be in my arm and belly 6 months before treatment starts

because it takes 6 months to mature so you want to be ready for which

Gentle hugs @Shaz51 I hope you are able to do dialysis at home. Where I live it is a 1 hour drive to a dialysis services. And spits are really hard to get because it services such a large part of nsw

Yeah @Shaz51 i know the feeling well. mum is going ok, she has had her insulin increased to 24 it seems to be stabalising her sugar at 7 so that is good. i hope they can sort you out, big hugs my dear friend.
