Another productive day @NatureLover you overachiever you! I'm so happy for you... it always feels good to get the things done you want to get done and still have time and energy and motivation for more!

It is sunny here too but very very windy... I ended up driving to the next town because the larger toaster oven I've had my eyes on for a while was 30% off. I had to race in and out... it was so chaotic. They have reopened the kids play areas and the cafe in the centre was packed and people were everywhere. Luckily I'm pretty good and ducking and weaving but I shouldn't need to!
The rules have been flung out of the window and I'm not happy! 😐

How did your knee go today once it had warmed up and lost its stiffness? Were you able to go on a walk?

@NatureLover The sun didn't last much into the afternoon here... quite gloomy here. Didn't walk my knee remained swollen so decided to listen to it.

Bit down in the dumps this afternoon. It's nice the weather decided to match my mood though.

Thank you @NatureLover but I'm probably just being silly... been sitting here regretting moving around so much in my life and not being able to keep friends because of that. And that the friendships I did make in this small town turned out to be one sided. Most people of my age have at least a few friends they can call on. Mostly I'm okay with my aloneness but sometimes I do feel lonely. I might go bother my son for a coffee. 😂

You're definitely not being silly, @Escaped_Goat . It's hard to keep friendships when you move around or they are one sided, like you say.

Sounds like a good idea to go and see your son. Does he have real coffee? I sure hope so...

I think it was just seeing all the people out having coffees and then I was scrolling Facebook and people were making plans now that the local cafes are opening back up and the local cafes were advertising "call your friends we are opening...." and it hit home that nothing is going to change for me no matter how many businesses open back up and that I don't have anyone to call really.

Wow! My old English teacher would have at that with her red pen for sure! 😂

My son not only has real coffee... he trained as a barista before he went into retail management so he has a fancy machine that makes all the proper coffee sounds. 😀 😂

I did not sleep much last night... it was after 2am before I slept but I have just gotten up so I did sleep this morning you could say. It looks sunny out at the moment but we had all the weathers yesterday by nightfall so who knows what today will bring!

I slept OK thanks, am not feeling very energetic or motivated this morning (a bit down) but I hope I can do some stuff around the house. We have pale weak sunlight but rain predicted later and for the next 4 days.

Do you think you would like to have a whizz-bang fancy coffee machine too?

If I dared to buy a fancy coffee machine my son would probably confiscate it.. when he still lived at home and worked as a barista he bought his first fancy machine. Well... one morning I decided to make my own coffee for work as my son had worked night and was asleep. After several minutes of fancy noises and still no frothy milk my silent son walked out of his room in his underwear.. took the jug from my hand... did something magic for three seconds... poured it into my coffee with a fancy flourish then went back to bed.
I'm no barista but I'm very good at waking people up! 😂 😂 😂

Yes, I'm not going to put too much pressure on myself today about the housework...but I do want to do a little. Just got back from a walk so am feeling slightly better. Thanks 🙂
