I've got a last-minute coffee catch up this morning and I need to do laundry before that, as my friend is doing some sewing for me and I need to wash and dry the items first.

My work day went well, thanks. I've only had one bad work day since I started this job nearly a year ago now. It was when my boss told me off. She did it nicely, and I needed to be told off, but still I was crushed. (I'm a bit of a perfectionist.)

Hope you can stay warm. My hands are icy as I type this.

It's uncomfortable being criticised even when we need to hear it. I'm glad your boss did it sensitively. The job seems a good fit for you, especially now you're tapping into your network to compensate for working from home.

It's very cold and I'm still in bed. I've given up on the early morning walks for winter. Got a lunch today with ladies from my old job.

It was -1C overnight. Way too cold. My hands are icy.

Got a busy (extra) work day today. Woke up at 8am! So already behind. Plus I need to write and post 2 cards today as I failed to do it yesterday!

just saying hi. its the first time I am logging in, in a while. The new forums is a bit disorienting. The @ button does not show recent posters so I cant @ people anymore :( I wish that function could come back. I miss the old site. I hope everyone is ok.

Hello @scruffypuffball nice to see you. Tagging is a bit tricky. I have to remember a name, type it, then click in the middle of it then remove extraneous letters from the end. Maybe that's just my phone.

-1 is definitely too cold @NatureLover. I ran into someone from exercise group today who said there'd been ice on her windscreen this morning.

I was busy too, spending several hours in a bigger shopping centre catching up on a few things and researching in the library. My possible visitor has confirmed they're coming so I'll try to tidy.

How did the optometrist go yesterday?

My extra work day was very busy yesterday so I still haven't written and posted my 2 cards. Another work day today but I must do that today.

Very cold again this morning and I'm still in bed at 9am. My routine seems to have shifted itself to later evenings and later mornings. It doesn't suit me.
