It was a bit scary going out but I was able to overcome it.

Yes, we've lost some shade but still have plenty luckily.

My anxiety is high today due to the extreme heat. If we lose power I'm not sure how I'll cope, plus extreme heat is a trigger for severe asthma for me.

Bit alarmed you have to go out twice today on a 45C day. Will you be OK? Can you put any of it off till Wednesday?

I had car transport and wasn't outside long.

@NatureLover i am not in a bushfire zone. I hope u r ok. I just got the verandah fixed due to the structure being old and being further destabilised in extreme winds in 2023-24. I have been so busy with painters & tradies lately, stuff that had to be fixed in 2018 is fixed now. I have been so stressed. I am masking 12 hrs a day due to being covid aware, but the painters didn’t tape the inside of the house (they r painting the windows outside) and with sanding they did last week, all this dust went everywhere in my room, & mums old room, lucky I put plastic cover on mums old bed. I did vacuum, but I can’t do it every day😩 I’m supposed 2b on leave but I get 4 hrs sleep a night. I really pushed myself to fix something. It was getting to me. A lot of stress, I can relate to everyone being overwhelmed with stuff like this. I had to pack everything away to clean things easily, but dust went on the cluttered stuff as well🙁. I am also grieving things demolished- they reminded me of my parents & replacing the old verandah with new was not a pleasant experience. The heat is not helping. I eat lunch on my neighbours front porch, the only time I feel safe taking off my mask to eat and drink. I know I am dehydrated. I can’t cook as I can’t use my kitchen, I have no spoons, hopefully they will b finished next week, I overheard him say 8 days to go. I want to take an extra week leave so I can recover. I couldn’t sleep last night as it’s oil based undercoat it stinks

@scruffypuffball That sounds so difficult. Yes, the smells and the dust and stuff is very trying. I remember renovating, and probably need to do some again.

Yet another tech gem, eh? There have been tech issues which have been escalated. This means, members who have a hotmail/outlook/live email have not been recieving notifications.

The email service have blocked our emails (possibly because of the high volume coming through?). So our tech people should have resolved this issue as of yesterday 28/1 around 11am.
