Numb again

Numb again

I have tried contacting online support but everything is unavailable or offline .

I was raped 7 years ago and things happen so I made myself numb and supprised everything. I learned about the breathing techniques as well as the 5,4,3,2,1 tool. Tonight it's not working . I am having flash backs like crazy and I can't get my mind and body to calm down to relax and sleep . At this stage I am in for a night of night terrors and I can't do that again tonight. I am shutting down again but not sure how to stop it .

Re: Numb again

@Pollyotter don't be sorry I was just concerned in a friendly way thats all.

Wow i'm so sorry to hear that, no one deserves to go through those things. I'm very sorry, I can't imagine how you and anyone who has gone through that must feel, sigh.

I have PTSD too but mine is from watching loved ones pass away (well you know, before they did, just their health getting worse), primary & high school, etc

Re: Numb again

Try not to assume how things will go and what will be said because firstly it makes you anxious now about the what if's and after the appointment it may have you feeling disappointed because things didn't happen how you pictured it or things weren't said you thought would be. It's best to just not think about it hun. I know that is hard to do. @Former-Member
