Numb again

I have tried contacting online support but everything is unavailable or offline .

I was raped 7 years ago and things happen so I made myself numb and supprised everything. I learned about the breathing techniques as well as the 5,4,3,2,1 tool. Tonight it's not working . I am having flash backs like crazy and I can't get my mind and body to calm down to relax and sleep . At this stage I am in for a night of night terrors and I can't do that again tonight. I am shutting down again but not sure how to stop it .

Yes I did have a tough weekend but these days it seems like everyday has been tough. Just stuck in a deep dark hole at the moment and I can't seem to get myself out of it.

haha @Pollyotter Just lived experience and knowing what has worked best for me in a similar situation Hon.

I totally agree wit @Lee82 Maybe wait until your meds kick in - hopefully that will only be a couple of weeks - then work on a better work-life balance. Although throwing ourselves into work can take our minds off things it can also add to fatigue and burnout so if you can find that balance before that happens then you are winning.

Thanks @Pollyotter . I have my psychologist appointment tomorrow and psychiatrist on the 29th to sort out meds.

I completely understand how you are feeling as I am experiencing the same sort of stuff right now too. All your questions I have them too. All your doubts I also have them. I am so sorry you are going through this again. I am also very sorry that I can't give you any advice because I don't know how to help myself mother but what I can say is that you are not alone and I support you.
