Numb again

I have tried contacting online support but everything is unavailable or offline .

I was raped 7 years ago and things happen so I made myself numb and supprised everything. I learned about the breathing techniques as well as the 5,4,3,2,1 tool. Tonight it's not working . I am having flash backs like crazy and I can't get my mind and body to calm down to relax and sleep . At this stage I am in for a night of night terrors and I can't do that again tonight. I am shutting down again but not sure how to stop it .

Just like your therapist @Pollyotter I am not surprised you were up and your mind was racing. You had a really full on day - a new therapist, a lot to talk about, taking on extra workers to help out and trying to process it all as you went. Hopefully tonight some of those thoughts will have settled a little more and the battle between sleep and you will be won by sleep.

Long and tiring @Pollyotter It is so much easier being on class - and the time goes quicker. Looking forward to snuggling on the couch with Toby.

Yep @Pollyotter Toby snuggles under the doona is a great evening here.

I was also going to have pizza tonight but the supermarket didn't have the pizza base I usually use - and I had a late lunch - so probably will not have anything tonight now. A hot chocolate would be nice - don't have any miik though. I'll have to have a virtual one...

Oh wow - 4am is waaaaaay too early @Pollyotter I certainly hope I am still asleep at that time. I do hope you can get some sleep in before that time - and then maybe you can sleep later in the day also.
