Numb again

I have tried contacting online support but everything is unavailable or offline .

I was raped 7 years ago and things happen so I made myself numb and supprised everything. I learned about the breathing techniques as well as the 5,4,3,2,1 tool. Tonight it's not working . I am having flash backs like crazy and I can't get my mind and body to calm down to relax and sleep . At this stage I am in for a night of night terrors and I can't do that again tonight. I am shutting down again but not sure how to stop it .

I have given in for tonight @Lee82 My brain is fried today so not going to push to do anymore. I will have to get stuck into it as soon as I get to work - going to try to make it a bit earlier so I will have time in the morning to get everything done. Have cleaned up the kitchen - so that is done - and the washing up can wait until tomorrow. Tobes is doing his roll around, barky thing and mad runs in between pulling his toys out - my favourite part of each night 🐶 Did you see Boris today?

No I didn't go see him today... spent the day under the covers hiding from everything.
i have my brother coming to pick him up tomorrow to look after him. He has 2 staffys of his own. Just don't think it's fair leaving Boris on his own at home everyday

Yea I agree. I felt guilty leaving him alone. My brother has been in Canberra for 3 months for work and has come back home tonight so will be nice to see him tomorrow too.

Sounds to me like you have definitely earned an early night @Zoe7.
tobes must miss you so much now that you are back at work. He would have gotten use to you being home all the time with lockdown.
