Numb again

I have tried contacting online support but everything is unavailable or offline .

I was raped 7 years ago and things happen so I made myself numb and supprised everything. I learned about the breathing techniques as well as the 5,4,3,2,1 tool. Tonight it's not working . I am having flash backs like crazy and I can't get my mind and body to calm down to relax and sleep . At this stage I am in for a night of night terrors and I can't do that again tonight. I am shutting down again but not sure how to stop it .

I really hope so @Pollyotter I have just taken my meds but I my thoughts are not good right now.

Do you have anything to take your mind off the thoughts?. I hope so. I am exhausted but normally I would sleep about an hour or two then something happens .

Boris is not allowed to stay at mums so he is by himself at home. I have tried so many different things in the past I am just so sick of trying.

I understand that feeling very well @Lee82 It is especially hard when you have had so many things that do not work. I personally cannot do a lot of the things that are normally suggested - most meditation apps are triggering, as is music, even having a shower - so finding things that worked for me were really hard. There were even times I pushed Toby away because I just did not want to be alive - so I do get how hard it is. Often too when you are that low nothing helps - you just need to get through it. Self care is infact then just surviving and getting to a better place down the track where you can work on other things. So for tonight just getting through minute by minute is all you need to do Hon.
