Numb again

Numb again

I have tried contacting online support but everything is unavailable or offline .

I was raped 7 years ago and things happen so I made myself numb and supprised everything. I learned about the breathing techniques as well as the 5,4,3,2,1 tool. Tonight it's not working . I am having flash backs like crazy and I can't get my mind and body to calm down to relax and sleep . At this stage I am in for a night of night terrors and I can't do that again tonight. I am shutting down again but not sure how to stop it .

Re: Numb again

I am just over feeling like this. I am mentally physically emotionally exhausted. I keep fighting but for what. I don’t want to do this anymore

Re: Numb again

Hello, beautiful people of the forum.

it is Sunday afternoon. The house is clean. the space under the bed doesn't have as much as an indent anymore. What I picked up is that some of the spaces under some of our family member beds. I am sorry that there have to be safe spaces and indents under beds. My mind today is a bit fuzzy and fluffy and full of hope for us all. I know it sounds annoying but I think we need to remember that we are good people and we are worth the kind words. The bad words are so easy to slip into our minds and stay there. Keeping good things seems to be harder but they are more powerful in the long run.

There is no timeline for healing what has happened to us. I do still think that we have the power to take back some of what was taken from us. Yes, we can't erase what has happened I myself have asked m myself so many times why what how but you know what I drive myself crazy. Will I be able to be in a room alone with a guy without freaking out probably not soon but I will still be keeping control of how my fear affects my day to day life.

I will still have my struggle and bring it on because for me I will take one by one and take them from controlling my life. I will get to that point of having my past control me 100% and bring it down to maybe 20% if I put my mind to it.

Before I end my rant I want you all to know how beautiful you are. You don't need to see someone's face to see their beauty. We see it every day by how we sit with someone as they hide under the bed or how they feel like they can't do it anymore.

You guys inspire me every day and I want to say thank you so much...

Thank you Dizzy

I think we all deserve more then what PTSD and other Mental health after-effects of whats have happened to us.

I think that we all need to spend that time with ourselves and find what we need to feel like we are good and loving people. Be it taking the time to find what music we can listen to at what time to find that piece of what we need. I myself have changed my mindset from being a victim to being someone who wants to share my story and I hope to help others who have been through the horrible things that the world throws at us. We all cant do that and I fully understand this. This is my road that I want to embark on and I hope I get to do this.

@Pollyotter 👍🌸🌼💕

That is so lovely ... YOU are lovely. Thank you 😊

You are so courageous, so inspiring ... you are one of those beautiful people you spoke about in your post.

There is so much that trauma takes from us ... but it can never take away your innate goodness or bravery.

I very much admire you for what you are doing now ... every bit as much as I do for you surviving the horror that you went through. Anyone with PTSD will continue to have problems. But if we can improve our lives just a little bit, then that can make a huge difference. I know you will succeed in what you strive for ... because you have never given up.

I acknowledge all that you said in your post, and I thank you for saying it. I'm sure it will provide inspiration to others reading. After all, we have many more readers of the forums, who probably never post. Never underestimate the impact your posts have on others.

Thank you @Pollyotter
