Re: Who am I
Hi @Olive
I have recently decided that it was time for me to help myself. So I asked my psych if I could be admitted again and he agreed as he was thinking of changing my meds anyway.
But once that decision was made, I started thinking "oh no this isn't a good idea, what will my husband and kids say, what will work think, how do i cope financially losing a weeks pay etc etc etc" All this stuff was going through my mind and then I started self doubting my decision.
But now I am glad that I have made the decison to go into hospital. I spoke with my therapist and he agreed that the short term loss (of pay etc etc) will have a long term gain. And I agreed, I am sick and tired of doing everything for everyone else in the family. It's me time and I really don't care what hubby thinks. It's my mental health that needs caring, nurturing and support as well as meds change.
I really hope that you can see that by having a hospital stay won't be too bad. You will have the support from the caring staff, your pyschiatrist as well as seeing other inpatients and also doing group therapy which is important.
Take care, hope to hear back from you.

You're doing well - having made the decision to go to hospital seems to be helping you already
But you still need to go - it will help you get back into the right shape to get back to the complex life you have right now - I know it's still not easy for you

Re: Who am I
I drink to feel confident and go out and want to feel loved. But I want to stop drinking or at least reduce it because I wouldn't be so open to hooking up when sober, when sober I would really think first and ask myself if I really want to hook up with someone and if I'm doing it for the right reasons. I have dignity when I'm sober and when drunk I go full ball into hooking up. I enjoy it in the moment but after I think and question it.
