Re: Who am I
Hi @Decadian & @BlueBay too.
@Zahlia - kind? Thankyou, I resonate with what @Olive has said and know just what an awful place being in this state can be. For me now - it is 30+ years since I was in that place, although everyone here knows I struggle mightily with my various Mental health issues - I am releived and redeemed when it comes to "what it used to be like' when I was out and about getting drunk, falling down fighting, hitting cops being arrested, losing my licence and being 'difficult' in all my relationships. You know - the kind of thing we do when we are full flight not well.

Re: Who am I
And me - Decadian @Olive
I didn't see all the incoming mail - I guess unless I get it in my mail-box it's less likely
So I don't know where you post is - the one I didn't read - but I know what it's like to feel invisible
Here's your chance now Olive - here's a bunch of us sorry we didn't see you

How do you feel about what the Psychiatrist said about getting sober, is that something you are thinking about or have you rejected it?

Re: Who am I
I protected alcohol when I drank it. It was though not my friend really. I hit what the AA'ers called 'Rock Bottom' and had to stop. I donlt ascribe to AA anymore and this time round have been sober 5 years.
I didn't really enjoy it, it made me sick and i realised eventually that living life was always so much harder with a hangover.
So if hospital is 'out' what can you do to start putting your life back together, @Olive - 'cos it is sounding like it has unravelled pretty well at the moment.

Re: Who am I
No @Olive
It's not stupid - you're in a bad place - and no one noticed
This is a microcosism of what really goes on in society - and eye-opener for me - for - from what a couple of brave people have opened up and said - "There but for the grace of God go I" -
But I have been in shadows too - and it is hard enough to reach out - in this forum I have been able to say what I could never say anywhere else - I could never be that open
So - good on you for not just going off and doing what ever you might have done - you yelled at us - and some one heard - it wasn't me - but someone did - and now I think just about everyone who is around is here
So - you are not invisible - you have a voice
Decadian
