Munchies

Munchies

Thought I would start a thread that can be used to chat or talk about food issues, hates or loves. I do comfort eat but also I know its the great human connecting ground, because we all do need to eat, no matter what.

I wondered if some on the forum might relate to this more than the beergarden or the night shift. Hi @Former-Member I was thinking of you but anyone else who is interested may just pop in.

Just had a mandarin, its sweet but lighter flavour than an orange is sometimes just what i need.

Feel free to chat, though.

Cheers

Apple

Re: Munchies

Yeah, @Shaz51 it's a really, really nice mouth feel. Scrummy. and it's within my carb limit per meal for the diabetes too! Yay. (well the bread I use is anyway)

Afternoon tea maybe?

Re: Munchies

You are more likely to find them for sale in “ethnic” supermarkets .... they are sought after in Mediterranean and Asian cuisines @Former-Member.

There are many different greens that are boiled this way, including the leaves from broccoli, cauliflower, beetroot .... more commonly known ones are cabbage, spinach, silver beet, but any boiled vegetables can be served with olive oil and lemon juice.

Re: Munchies

Good to know @Faith-and-Hope Except I don't go to them anymore, the markets here sometimes have greens from other cuisines, I used to try what ever I could when I did go to them, but I have to be much more careful now due to a particular allergy. It means I can't eat cabbage, lettuce, mustard greens, quite a few Asian greens, and oh, yeah come to think of it now - dandelion and lots of other things, especially anything with a milky sap.

Y'know how many leafy greens have milky sap.... yeah, lots.

I shall have to try some of the greens I can have. Used to grow carrots and beetroot for their tops for using in a tossed salad, yummy.

Re: Munchies

Oh, yes please @Shaz51. Sounds yummy, and I need to start eating good food again. I've kind of been neglecting the food side of things over the last month or so. Need to get some good nutritious food into me on a regular basis again. Self care, I think its called?

Re: Munchies

Yes please @Shaz51 I need to eat a lot more, more consistently....

Fatigue & dissociation shuts my apetite down, feeling nauseous.

Looks very tasty...
