Let's relive the 1980's

Let's relive the 1980's

Hiya everyone!!!!

I loved the 80's and I thought I would start a forum where we can relive our favourite songs. bands, TV shows, movies, fashions, celebrities, world events etc. If I had a time machine I would go back and experience it all, because as they say at the time you don't realise how special it is until it is over.

So if you grew up in the 80's tell us your experiences, what you loved and remembered etc. If you missed the 80's that is fine. we can tell you what it was like, how things were done etc. So please come and join me and reflect on this great decade......

I am going to start off by showing you one of my fav songs from one of my two fav bands (The Beatles being the other one). Still love this song as much as when I first heard it..... written by drummer Roger Taylor inspired by words from his young son.....Radio Ga Ga

Which indecently inspired the name of a current pop star...................

Re: Let's relive the 1980's

Hi again @Scarecrowe and all.

I went on a bit of a mission in our garage this morning to dig up a box of treasures. This is one that's a very early memory/not so much a memory as much as it is others people's stories of me and my persistence/nagging 😉. Apparently I massively wanted what I've just learned to be "Flight Time Barbie" who was released in 1989. This is her back then

Thanks to a grandparent who never got rid of anything, I was given a box of my old stuff a few years ago including my precious Flight Time Barbie, and this is her this morning 😁 Still with her tangled up hair from the last time I brushed it as a wee one 30ish years ago!

😁😊😁

Re: Let's relive the 1980's

morning @Bunniekins finally got back on here, was mowing the lawn and the mower stopped half way so I had to get down on my knees and weed the lawn instead of mowing.....not impressed but at least the lawn is shorter than it was......

My father and I were huge Conan the Barbarian fans lol

I can't remember if I saw Red Sonja or not but I do remember it coming out.....
