Let's relive the 1980's

Let's relive the 1980's

Hiya everyone!!!!

I loved the 80's and I thought I would start a forum where we can relive our favourite songs. bands, TV shows, movies, fashions, celebrities, world events etc. If I had a time machine I would go back and experience it all, because as they say at the time you don't realise how special it is until it is over.

So if you grew up in the 80's tell us your experiences, what you loved and remembered etc. If you missed the 80's that is fine. we can tell you what it was like, how things were done etc. So please come and join me and reflect on this great decade......

I am going to start off by showing you one of my fav songs from one of my two fav bands (The Beatles being the other one). Still love this song as much as when I first heard it..... written by drummer Roger Taylor inspired by words from his young son.....Radio Ga Ga

Which indecently inspired the name of a current pop star...................

@TAB this one is yours mate.

I wasn't an MJ fan in the 80's but as I aged I started to appreciate him more. This one is one of my favourites.

@TAB my grandfather and great uncle both bought HQ Holden's, both unbeknownst to each other they bought the same canary yellow.

My grandfather had that car up until the 90s when he passed away. My great uncle traded his for a red commodore.

I learnt how to change gears in Pop's HQ, I would have loved to have had the option to buy it but b*tch aunt took it and sold it to her neighbours.

omg @ENKELI we never had an HQ , just an HD, til like1984 (19years) I failed my license in it age 17. Handbrake cable broke and didnt indicate changing lanes in new-fangled one block of one-way street in country town lol

we used to play on farm vehicles if idle in the shed

steered couple things inpaddock, but gear changing intro was in bosses' VGValiant ute(225 or245think).too muchpower for me lol ok had to google Valiant models,am holden person

think VG1972 ish, the square looking one.Father had sold HD, when I heard, got the hump, he went and renegged on sale for me lol Didntkeepit for long, was shocked at some rust, also had tired engine and was rubbish to drive. also no synchro on first lol
