Re: Sleeping too much
Yeah I'm ok today @TAB thus chatty Teej on lots of threads. Haven't done this for a while. Glad the ribs are on the mend. Hoping you'll pick up work soon enough. I've been slack and never mown the lawn before. Me thinks it's time the kids teach me. I actually think I'll like it, just always been a bit scared of lawn mowers for some strange reason. Think I'm about to fall asleep. Wishing you well @TAB. Take care. 💜🤗

Re: Sleeping too much
hello @Owlunar
I thought I would read your post several times.
So many parts of your story resonate with my older son, the one with paranoid schizophrenia. I always knew he was different from about the age 2. I had not been diagnosed myself then so living in a fog I just thought all part of my lot.
Looking back now, I have carried that pain all of these years. This I have known needless to say that did not lessen the pain in any way. Always trying to get someone to offer a suggestion, a direction for a positive change for him so that he didn't have to be teased, hide himself away in his room, smoke marijuana. join the crowd who hid amongst one another, the ones who werent considered cool.
How can we ever stop loving our children? Your son was adopted - a gift to you when he was a tender, young age. How strong the bond would have become within a very short time.
Overloving not possible in my mind. Love is bountiful, endless, everlasting. Do we stop loving someone because they do not conform, they misbehave, they break the law?
No, we ask ourselves why are they behaving this way? we try to fix the situation and of course we can't because it is their situation. So as mothers, we burden ourselves further.
When our children grow up into adolescents, adults they form their own characters and are their own persons struggling to adjust and make sense of life. We have done the very same in a different time span.
We might not like their behaviour, their course of action, their choice of friends, their choice of lifestyles.
We are not their mothers to insist on how they behave, to try to change their thinking, their character.
We are their mothers to guide them and then let them go. So hard to do. Yet we must do this. They have to make their own mistakes.
In our hearts we still love them deeply even more than we ever could imagine. Some people lose sight of this and bury these feelings. Others deny they ever had them.
Your post tells me that you are a beautiful soul who cherishes and loves her son for who he was, the real person not the behaviour.
From the bottom of my heart, I send you a universal parental love hug. You continue to keep your son in a safe place for as long as you need to. Noone can take that away from you.
xxxx

Re: Sleeping too much
hello @TAB @Former-Member and all
thank you Tab
treasure.....
still practising on accepting compliments
i once had a small lawn area in front of a house that I owned at the time.
I did not have a lawn mower. So would you believe I cut the lawn with scissors?? How nutty is that?
Please dont take this up as a suggestion.
Let me know the outcome of your acting on my suggestions.
White tea , yes is good for you.
stapled to a card!! odd, quirky. Can you match it? staple something to a card to send back. the mind boggles.
Challenge, suggestions please.
