Re: Sleeping too much

Hi @Former-Member

I am so glad what I wrote was helpful - it does sound as if your son is switched on - my son wasn't so it's not comparable - but I do know what it's like to worry

It's like being Mums we worry and of course we will but our sons need to be men - and that can be hard. I think it is hard to be a man - women do not seem to have that same drive to prove themselves

Actually I walk a lot but I walked more in Lakes Entrance - I should find a map and post it up - my motel was at the East End and the coffee shop where I got my ham, cheese and tomato toastie for brunch and the fish and chip shop where I got my dinner required a long walk - I ate my brunch in the cafe but I entertained the seagulls with my chips - I actually enjoy that but they got to know me by Thursday.

I walked across to the surf beach only once - that was hard on my back - walking through the sand - so I spent a lot of time staring at the ocean - and loving it - there was no one to tell me to hurry up and walk on so I just sat there and thought about nothing a lot of the time - just felt the sand and the salt and the surf and enjoyed it - thinking I will go back in a few months. I looked at the real estate prices - maybe I could get a holiday shack and the family could go there if they wanted to. I thought about getting my licence again. That would be fantastic - but I get spasms in my spine.

About your arthritis - if you go to the pharmacy and ask for a natural remedy. I can't tell you the name here but it starts with a G - and you need to take it everyday - you could buy it on line from one of those pharmacies that sell in bulk. I use it and I ran out and have to get some more - my hands hurt more since I ran out so I am sure it works. It has Krill oil in it but you can't taste that

Both my ankles have had broken bones in my feet or sprains - and they get puffy - so I tied them up at night and that much support seems to help so your woolly ankle sock might help

I was supposed to see my pain specialist today but I have to wait another couple of months - this was a surprise - I might have gone to Lakes Entrance this week but for that and the weather was wonderful last week - I am thinking of doing it again -

But nothing exciting to do today. I am catching up with my friends here but I am out of touch - and I have a home to tidy up a bit - it was vacuumed yesterday - floors and bathroom cleaned also - but there is clutter on all the benches

Did you ever do anything about your daughter's dresser - when I read what you were planning to paint a chest of drawers I thought of that - it sounds as if you could do something with that

All the best Tawnz - and talk to the pharmacy about your ankle and that arthritis cure

Re: Sleeping too much

Morning rush over. 😀
Love the pic thanks @Former-Member 💜

Nothing exciting happening here.
Trying to turn negative thoughts into positive, if you know what I mean.
Lots of washing, but will need to use dryer. Clothes tend to smell if hung out in wet weather, even though we have an under cover area. They don't dry quick enough, then I have to rewash. Fussy, lol.
I know I'm going to have to find other things to do besides group.
Just been getting through the after affects of group and counselling. Not feeling as heavy.
I got a sort of journaling book, to write, work for and achieve your dreams. Got me thinking. It's a cute adult book with colouring as well. Haven't coloured for years 😀
Might be relaxing.

Any plans?
I guess home day for you seeing as you went out yesterday. 😊

I'll go off here now for a bit. Catch you later.

Coffee for @TAB @Owlunar @Faith-and-Hope and anyone else around. ☕☕☕☕☕☕☕☕

Hope you all have a nice day.💕

Hope you're feeling a bit better Faith and Hope 💕

Re: Sleeping too much

Colouring sounds a good idea @Former-Member 😀 Like 10ish years ago when I made a plastic model well of a tank , was scratching around for ideas of something to do, and thought why not try things I used to like doing as a kid even , well when had interests lol. Kept me amused for a while and liked looking at it for ages😀

@Owlunar, thanks for your post, yes my poor boy has a grandparent for a dad - the circumstances surrou ding his birth were not favourable but all I could do was juggle a bad situation with the xhildren's best interest at heart. Being in the middle of a breakdown during conception didn't help (not thinking straight), horrible how these things come up and bite us later, I've concluded there is no 'perfect' way anymore, just ways of vest managing what we have. My children are the best part of my life, so priviledged to be a mum, and a nurse, and a wife, and a muso and a child of faith. Oops, rambling again. How are you coping with the wet? Does it affect you arthritis? Does me grr. I posted on your 'life's a pain' thread, asked how mad cats going etc. Catch up tomorrow if you're off in o bed. Take care xox

That is a rough start for anyone - for him- for you - for your daughter - and your son's comment - :"if he had been there" when you daughter died makes sense to me - S1 was/is looking for someone to blame or someone to come back in time to heal the sitiuation - this is so sad

And there is no perfect way and no perfect people - there are just people and the way things happen. Whatever went on when your son was conceived and then born were the way things were and no need to belt yourself up over it - after all - what could you have done differently?

My parents were very young when I was born - and I wonder at the wisdom of their decisions. Of course I was older when I started my family myself - I had already done more living. Because I had gone to night school I had more education than my father did at the same age and a lot more than my mother ever had. I have more experience with just being alive - and our parents shoved us out of the nest without preparation with nothing but our ignorance to protect us - wow - but I did not feel like a victim - I felt that I had been darned clever to have studied accountancy - which had not been in the programme for any of us

But then - as I said - our parents were very young when they started

No perfect way - no perfect people - just the way it is - and you may be able to let that go but your son - maybe he has some work to do but in some ways I think he has done it - he seems remarkable -

But there is no blame - for whatever reason he has an older dad - your parents are frail and aged and it seems they both have some kind of dementia - your siblings are a sorry lot yet from your writing I can tell you are a loving and caring and beautiful person.

Whatever it is - life does go forward and time moves in one direction only - but my back - starting to score high in the bitey side and I have to lie down with the heat pack for a while - however I feel more satisfied with what I have done today - it has been better being awake rather than constant napping

Lots of hugs Tawney - it seems to me you are unravelling a large ball of tangled wool and really need another pair of hands to help - best way possible I will hold the other end for you

Thanks for popping by @Faith-and-Hope, I have missed ya 💜 but glad to hear your taking a rest today. They say the body has great intelligence, good you're in tune. Catch up when you resurface.
