Re: Sleeping too much

@Decadian, thank you.

Made myself have a decent breakfast today, forced myself off the couch into action but didn't even finish the dishes before nearly fainting, my BP dropped suddenly or something, so here i am laying down, again, feeling horrible, so it was nice to find you talking to me. // Too often i fish around the forum, my emails, the letterbox etc and when i seem invisible my brain defaults to thinking 'everyone hates' me or ' I done something wrong?' And it gets crazy in my head. Is that the definition of being a nassacist? Oh dear. Anyway, thanks for charting today.

Do you really think I have 'so much going on' - I'm usually told I overreact. Sometimes i think the like to trigger me (especially siblings). It's hard not to say unkind things at times when people are shallow & distant.

With people, I have to keep reminding myself that every individual has the freedom of choice how they act, what they say, even think, and they have a galaxy of 'other stuff' going on in their lives, that has nothing to so with me, a different universe to mine. It takes a lot to know how the other really is, the right words etc.

Perhaps its more the attitude behind the words that really hurts, my interpretation of it, the message that - i don't matter, please go away... my biggest fears really, or not 😔.

Think I'm actually guilty of saying "Have a good day" myself today, on the 'night shift' thread just now. Guess it doesn't mean much accept:
hello,
i'm here
nice to see you
don't know what to say right now
wish you all well
...
Hang on, are you having a go at me? lol

Hope you do write a book about relating better with people, especially hurting people. Someone probably already has but different perspectives can be good. I like that image you gave, of 'dragging ourselves along grabbing the legs of the furniture and getting carpet burns on our knees" - how can people not see it? (or not care). Think we have to risk asking for help.

I couldn't cope with the cot death family this week (too close to the bone & I don't know them), so I pray, and supporting the young church friend👼, her friend, who asked us to pray, i gave her a meal yesterday to pass on with love & shared what it felt like that first week for me, when my girl died. Which she actually thanked me for because she doesn't know what to say to her friend. I reminded her to say little, just listen, be there, often, with hugs. etc... She actually thanked me for the input.

Sounds like you understand my struggle loving a son who wants me at arms distance. All I have to offer him, seems to goes unnoticed, ant it hurts but I can't let it stop the love.

You said "where can we find you if you are hiding?" Well, you can't, thats the point, nobody can, and I'm in control of that. But we're talking now 😐

Its easy to be open & honest here - being anonymous. Hang on a minute 💡 - i don't think being anonymous is honest, or open... Hmm.... food for thought 💡

"Have a nice day" Decadian, i think that means
- I hope nothing major goes wrong,
- that you can handle things well if it does
- that you find a chance to be kind to someone
- that you notice something that makes you smile
- that you end you day in peace
- that you go to sleep tonight knowing
'all is well with your soul' ✌

Re: Sleeping too much

You made my day @Former-Member - that was such a great post -

Being open and honest is at its best when it's anonymous - after all - who can we be if everyone knows who we are and where we live - that's why we listen to the Fashion Police and look appropriate when we leave the house - after all - for some reason it's okay to wear our trackies to bed but not okay to wear our jammies to the shops - if you get what I mean.

And on this forum I am not afraid to write what I really think - where as the Purveyors of Platitudes would order me to have my mouth sh ot off - but of course - I really am busy sho oting it off myself

Yes - you do have a lot going on - I know you had a bad bout of bereaved mother recently - I know what this is like - and then you hear about a cot death - which is like adding fuel to the fire - and no one knows better how hard it is to say anything helpful when a child of any age dies - and you said the right thing to the other person

It is good myself to have someone post like this to me - I have left a website where I was a Support Member for years - and it seems no one cares that I have not posted there for weeks - and I thought and thought about it - should I let them know I have left - because they don't seem to have noticed - but I don't owe them anything - and I have felt like the invisible member for ages - knowing that there is no such rank in any forum as "invisible member" - but after thinking about it - I am just going to let it go - and somehow it's a relief to have made up my mind

But that was such a good post - and "have a good day" could mean all of those things - I guess it would be honest to say - in reply to the check-out person "You too - and I hope nothing disasterous happens between now and 23.59pm today"

I can be very satirical at times - sigh - this is an example - but this is a wonderful way to blow off steam without hurting anyone -

Yes - you do have a lot happening - I notice - I have a gift for this - I am wondering who I inherited this from because it doesn't seem to be anywhere else in my familly.

Or maybe it's that I have been hurt so much in this life-time I see life as it is rather than what people have tried to convince me it is

Thankyou for talking to me today

@Decadian, thank you for talking.

@Faith-and-Hope, you're quieter than usual, you ok? probably just busy this week. Don't think i said something wrong. Or scared you off with my episode Monday. Hope not. Sorry. Do appreciate you peeking in with your little hearts from time to time. Sending faith, hope, love & light beams your way. Hope you get some 'me time' to recharge this week 💜

Re: Sleeping too much

Thank you all

@Faith-and-Hope I hope is busy partying with family.

@Decadian one of my deepest forum connections was with you because the suicide grief issues could come out in a dialogue. We are roughly the same age (but you are a bit older) and same gender and love similar music. it takes a lot of shared things in a person to actually be able to connect.

@Former-Member Thanks for the footprints and the hearts.

Your story also resonated very deeply because of having 2 seriously MI and grief too. I got that you were a committed soul. Committed to doing the right thing .. I am sure you had a good influence for the young mum dealing with loss and her friend. My son at home was diagnosed with aspergers but my daughter wasnt .. but she should have/could have been .. and is possibly suffering for the lack of appropriate attention .. but we cant give it if they dont want it.

So all 3 of you are important to me in different ways. Its ok that @Faith-and-Hope doesnt share from her difficulties but she has a caring and skill at being social and listening and being down to earth about life.

She belongs, because she doesnt mask her struggles .. behind her teeth with a brittle "have a good day" which is all some people can manage, and helps us all.

I am feeling a bit raw at the moment. It has been really hard for me to get support or just meet others who have shared similar experiences.

@DecadianYour Purveyor of Platitudes and Fashion Police comments made me laugh. A little satire is a sign of being grown up ... and we dont mean to hurt others even if, in my case their might be more venom than even I feel comfortable with.

My son was being a bit brusque earlier, yet I am grateful he agreed to look at my ward file tonight. I have had it 10 years now. He is the first family member to look at it .. He felt uncomfortable so we only looked at few documents .. but I felt he had had to see it to take some of the family issues from just "what mum says" to a bit more objective ground.

YES I agree with you@Former-Member

There is so much pain in the world. I know I have been lucky to survive as well as I did considering what we went through. Others going to the Royal Commission are often more disoriented and suffering worse MI than I.

Tomorrow I go to my first appointment with victim services, for the abuse to ME. Most of the time it has been hard enough just getting out what happened to the others. It has been a long wait, getting support for me. Thanks also to @Former-Member, @PeppiPatty @Jacques and @Mazarita for keeping me company and walking with me til I finally got it.

Re: Sleeping too much

Hi my Virtual Mum 🙂

i am so glad this is coming to a end result, it has been a long and hard road for you to live through and relive now, i hope you are able to finally close that chapter of your life and tell someone you matter and you where abused.

I know it helps to talk about abuse even if it hurts so much, the world needs strong and brave people like you, me and others who have been abused to say it is not okay to hide it away, Childhood abuse needs to stop, for the perpetrator it has little impact but for the victim it is life long, the damage done to a child never goes away.

I am so proud of you @Appleblossom for doing this, i wish i had your strength. hugs for tomorrow, remember you are not only doing this for yourself you are also doing this for people like me who have not gained the strength to talk about the abuse yet.

If you need support tomorrow please just mention my name and i will post back.

gentle hugs @Appleblossom, tomorrow is going to be a tough day.

Re: Sleeping too much

Hi @Appleblossom

Yes - we do have a lot in common - including a Royal Commission - I would say that gives us a lot to talk about

If fact - when I read people's posts - and people are very honest here - there are pairs or groups of people who do have things in common

I am sorry if the satire was too biting - actually - you do have to be very wise to get that deeply into satire to see where it cuts - but there are a couple of things going on in my life right now that are bothering me in one way or another - but none of my satire was directed into this site and the people here

But maybe into the site I have left - and that is in another country and besides - I used a different name

Re: Sleeping too much

Sorry guys, they deleted me again today saying, this time, that it was "too highly personal" which confuses me given other writings allowed. Bit emotional over it, again, but but ok. Doesn't help they they tell me to go 'ring lifeline' - hate that. Not sure social media is good for my MH. 😔

Re: Sleeping too much

Hey @Former-Member. I am having a bit of a break from offering advice/support because I think I am missing the mark more than I'm getting it. I just wanted to say I'm here and sorry that you are suffering today. Sending hugs 💜💐
