Re: Sleeping too much
OK guys, guess it is a good thing (grr) and he has drive, and brains, and skills they need...
No Bella, apparently I'm way too old to get a working visa (in case i get pensioned off and burden the tax system there, apparently, hmm). But I could fly over regular for visits, sell my house, spend his inheritance travelling the world, he's earning x3 more PA than i ever did anyhow. He said he'd come home to visit 'of cause' Whatever will be will be' I don't want to talk about this anymore. Where's my decaf ☕

Re: Sleeping too much
Now that I've started therapy again I have to keep working on myself.
Today I saw myself from late teens - 20's.
Didn't like what I saw.
I actually hate that part of me, but I can now see that part of the healing process is to not hate oneself.
Still working through it, been quite a nightmare of a day. Not nice to remember things you've tried to "get over" and forget. Part of the therapy is to dig all the crapp out and get rid of all the bad feelings.
Didn't realize it was going to be this difficult, but the end result WILL be good. 😀💪👍💜
Tomorrow's a new day. 😊😙
Hopefully your son won't stay away too long.
Maybe if/when your house eventually gets sold (I remember you mentioned that), you could possibly visit. 😊

Re: Sleeping too much
Are you going to bed @TAB ? sleep good tonight.
@Former-Member that sounds horrendous digging up the past, dissecting it, I think you're very brave - my psychologist won't do it hat because she says it would be too confronting. Probably couldn't properly as I have huge gaps of no memory in my childhood, most of between 5 and 11 is gone, just bits here and there and what I do recall is 99% not at home memories. But it sounds likevyou are ready for it. I made a mistake of trying to o do it on my own once using Dr Phil's "Self Matters" book and workbook. Gosh it opened a tin of worms I could have done without in the middle of family court dramas. I remember an exercise - getting an picture of my five year old self. Be remember looking into the beautiful big blue eyes of my five year old self, with my daughter a similar age and knowing what I could never do to her, I realised for the first time regarding my inner child "how could they do that to me?" Never gone there again. Like I said - you're very brave Bella2
