These are screen shots of some of some of my other 'online' attempts to get help through the emotional storm that hit me Tuesday. There's a funny side there somewhere. Lol. Glad I'm coming out of that 'mixed up' space now, and glad you guys are here.

PHEW! dodged another bulet, yikes

Hi @Former-Member

Listen to that dream Tawnz - it's your unconcious mind - not your mum - telling you that you really do know you need to send a text to your Mum and that can work out for the good even if it can be bothersome

I am glad your dad is about ready to come home - I missed this message because I didn't come in for a couple of days but it's an important one - gee - I do hope your Dad can have his drinks

Perhaps it's one of those things you can text to your bros - - Dad will be better if he has his cold drinks handy in hot weather - he just forgets so this is a reminder text. I think - in time and even with MI - they will get used to the prompting

I am okay - this is Friday - the change in my medication has been good - I find I can wake up more easily - I am up before 8.30 am - even though I watched TV late last night - they are actually showing new programmes and just before the start of March

How you are okay today Tawnz - I did some reading on Bereaved Parent Services - found a beauty but it's in England

I looked up Compassionate Friends - yeah - it is harder in Queensland and harder in small towns - but there are branches all over the place - I guess Queensland is a big place - if you type The Compassionate Friends into your browser you will see in where they are in Queensland -

I will keep looking

I do love to live in the Big Smoke - even if we lose sight of the stars because of the smog - the amenities are here - I love the infra-structure - even if small towns are pretty

I will look further

Gwwz @Former-Member

I was hooked into an emotional storm on Tuesday - that's why I wasn't here - I acted on what I had to do about the Juvenile Justice Centre and found a way I can help - of wow - this looked really great

But in between finding I had the wrong email address and getting in a twist and being told they were busy etc - I felt frustration and a lot of the old angst come back - and where do I go and what do I do and cried mmy way into a bad headache - nearly a migraine

But finally some rant me back

It happens - triggers happen - I don't know if it means bi-polar - I think it means we are normal and are reacting to something that causes our past trauma to erupt - whatever that trauma is. It's never good.

How did it pass - do you feel better today - I know everything was getting to you yesterday but today - hopefully you do not feel useless - you are anything but -

And you give me something to write - and I think before I write

Lots of hugs today

Re: Sleeping too much

Thanks @Owlunar, I feel guilty because I haven't replied to you in more detail, you put so much effort in your responses this last couple of days, so hope to wade through and pull out the bits that jumped out at me, touched my heart, and affirm... Don't go to any trouble looking up CF here, I know where they ate and reality is the closest is now 1.5hrs away. Not gonna happen. There's lits on Facebook if I decide to reactivate my account, not likely, not good for my MH lol

Anyway, thanks. Just sorting clothes. So over it!

Hi @Owlunar, nice to see you. We have walked much the same so appreciate your messages, thanks.

Think it was just hard because I don't feel acceptable,

What I'm trying to say is 'they knew us' but its the 'christian' community I expected to much from when in need, and they weren't there when it counted.
I do think its the weight gain since on antidepressants and also being 'different' - not having money. Or maybe I am the 'low life' their treatment reflects, and just don't know it.

Hi @Former-Member

Yes - I have walked a lot of this road - and know that small towns can give you are hard time - but it's them - not you

The things you listed - not being acceptable - weight gain, medication, thinking maybe you are compared to "low-life" when you are "new" and anyway can have drinking problems, etc - it's not because of you - people are suspicious - and you are new - that's the worst thing - and you are not worthy of such bad treatment - it could be in their minds

And the poor are always with us - Jesus said

But you would expect better - and deserve better - and you are none of those things

There must have been a man in your life sometime or you could not have two children - I take it you are widowed or divorced - and some women are highly suspicious of us singles - but married women can be just as predatory - and I can tell from your writing you are none of those things

A little story - there was a woman came to our church when I lived nearby - and I went to an afternoon meeting and mentioned that I had visited my son in prison - and this woman freaked out - "You've been in prison!!!!!!" Scary person - "I have been in a prison - my son was the prisoner - I visited him of course"

She reacted "You're evil! You're bad! I can't be in the same room" - and she rushed from the room and I forget what happened - but yeah - I get it - she couldn't handle that but I learned later she was mentally ill - and I was accepted there - she was accepted there - but I found she was a drifter and I lost contact.

She was unreasonably afraid of prisons, prisoners and people who visited prisons - I was pretty upset that day

People in churches are people - and one thing about many people is they are chronically busy - and this can hurt too. I used to take my bad back to church and I would be told that I would be given a lift home in 5 minutes - but they have business that needs to be conducted in that short spell after church and half an hour later I would have walked home - and eventually did - but like you - I felt they could have been more considerate about the time - I rarely go - and I want to - and as I feel a bit better with the change in my medication I might go there one afternoon and see what's happening there

Right now I don't know what to suggest - I have told you a couple of my experiences - things that made me edgy - things that made the privacy of my own home more pleasant - but the change in my medication is making it easier to wake up and get up and I have more time - so yes - let's see if I can try something

But for you - you do have a fear of rejection - you have been rejected - and so - it's real and not imagined

But people in churches - mostly I think they mean well - but they fall short - through some of the things I have mentioned - misunderstanding and busyness - and some intolerance. And they know each other

But you are not low-life - and don't feel that - I think you are wonderful

I may not find you in my church if I find my way back - but if I find a Tawney I will watch out for one - and I will care - and I am not intolerant of most things - and I have time

So just maybe Tawnz - you story will help another -

How I care - how I care

Re: Sleeping too much

Thanks @Owlunar, I am feeling better. You know, its very hard for you / us trying to deal with big institutatios like Juvanile Justice, or as in ky case 'Familu Court (sorry, it doesnt deserve capitals) and poor @Appleblossom with 'Foster Care' and big churches that have lost their way... And people die, childrrn and are damaged and nobody's accountable. It angers me and I think that's part of the problem - we are banging our head on brick walls, nobody with clout is listening, its too. Its an insult to justice and a part of who we are (for us its our children & siblings) and who we didn't deserve to be lost or taken from us. I so understand this being such a bad trigger for you Tuesday. You be kind to yourself. I have come to a place where I see it on an eternal perspective and give it to God. You and Apple might handle it different, and that's OK, but fighting, standing up for myself - I always lose it & thus lose. God doesn't want us to be crippled repeatedly by pointlessly rehashing the past, not without a special calling to do so - evident by a barrage of supports.

There I go babbling again, need a cuppa 🙂

Hi @Former-Member @Owlunar

I slept like a log .... yay .... but then got woken before 7am with the slamming of the front door ..... WH off on his jog ....

My walks have been happening later and later, when they have been happening, so I have been slathered with "Slip, Slop, Slap" and walking under the midday sun ...

Trying to muster the energy now to get up and out early this morning .... there's a lot more birdsong about at this time of day.
