Re: Sleeping too much

Just had a meltdown after another hurtful comment & told mum & dad what I thought re bros dependency, and mum not following medical advice... and my tears - not good. Think it was an overreaction so, yes, here I am in bed, trying to settling myself, took a strong headache pill and I've started gathering my things. Reality is - I don't wanna go home, or stay here. Hone is not home since the kids left so abruptly, nobody really cares about mW their either, and it hurts. Its hard to explain. Driving 'home' is a major trigger for me since my girl died.

Anyway, glad you're here, you beautiful souls, and all your words and heart - trying to help. Thanks, But I know I gotta do it myself. Gosh, an hour and still the tears are coming, crying is draining, maybe being on the road will help brings back the 'travel bug' adrenolin. I do love wonder of discovery in travelling new places.

Got a tx reminder for psychology apt tomorrow & mamm'gm which I forgot and will need to reschedule, and tx for overdue Elec Bill - all niggling around in the back of my mind - adding to stressors I guess - all the unnoticed personal sacrifices & stupidity of being here. (oops, nor suppose to beat myself up).
Guess they're right here, that I did move away from them all a long time ago and won't be here next week. Just kidding myself I can make a difference. So wish I was a stronger person.

Mums temp is down, her BP is coming up and she's being treated for her chest infection, stopped her BP meds, dads room is better, Bro4's car is fixed now and the boys are coming round every day this week. The ambo driver gave me a hard time yesterday, and even the doctor was rushed and short with me. I feel like an invisible island with a tsunami heading my way, I can't stop it. Its hopeless, and the bit I do seems to barely slows it down, and there's really no place for me her, not really.

I did tx my Clayton's sister with details of whats going on, and a pic of dads mouldy yoghurt, and asked her to remind me again what it is she's doing to help? (oops, my bad sarcasm again). Of cause she didn't answer me but she did ring mum almost instantaneously & the two of them had a lovely long conversation, hmm - Guess that's how she helps.

Your posts are helping, thank you all so much. Even just not to feel alone. Gonna have a sleep now xox

What an amazingly beautiful picture @Faith-and-Hope

You are right @Appleblossom..in that you are working hard on family stuff and it's important for you.

My oldest son will not take medication but my youngest will.......

my oldest is disgnosed with Psychosis which is a chame for him if he will not take medication but maybe...maybe ...he will once he hears from his brother. We always can be living in hope.

I am so against drugs and alcohol and never thought that my sons would be drinking alcohol at 14 years old but my oldest soin was........

Re: Sleeping too much

@Appleblossom, my brothers are all in their 50s. In the short time i've been here both of them have displayed significant aggitation & restlessness, verbal abuse utbursts, verbal abuse, argumentative, even bursting into tears. Much of there suffering is the way tbqqhey interpret things and react without exploring alternatives to their own constructs. In fact, to disagree (or not openly affirm) seems to equates an attack on their esteem / identity. There's no room to 'agree to disagree' & hold peace for them, it seems. Having been here, in the 'thick' of it for a solid two weeks - I have to ask the question:

WHY ARE MY BROTHERS FORCED, BY LAW, TO COMOLY WITH A COMMUNIRY TREATMENT ORDER MONTHLY ANTIPSYCHOTIC INJECTIONS, AND INFLICTING UNHEALTHY CO-MORBIDITY (SIDE EFFECTS) WHEN ITS MAKING NO DIFFERENCE? NOT TO THEIR DELUSIONS! THEIR RELATIONSHIPS! THEIR SENSE OF EMPOWERTMENT, THEIR SELF ESTEEM, OR THEIR TEARS! wwhhyyy!
Who is the 'system' really helping? (omeone's pocket is all I see for my bros). Sure, they stopped me k#ll#ng myself but over all, it seems to me that MI is a bit like Back Pain - the eggspurts, they don't know what the hell they're doing. grr!

Soz, guess I'm feeling really powerless atm, frightened, angry, alone, and very sad. My family have forgotten who I am. I let them. Just venting. Its all such a pointless mess. Cant wait to be with my girl, she was buried Feb3.

Its raining here, i can't handle goodbyes, or the drama my mother with make of it, and the risk of saying something regretful - so think I'll just disappear quietly, maybe leave a nice note. They can't hear anything over the tv anyway. Anyone done that before? My brain is fuzzy tonight, the body numb, Just gotta grab those garbage bags Dec suggested, maybe (bit too ocd for that). You still about @Shimmer? - gonna miss your empathy xox

Hi @Former-Member

I haven't been on the forums this week - so I'm not up to date with everything, but I just wanted to respond and let you know that I hear you. It sounds incredibly frustrating situation at the moment.
I have seen that you are having some group hugs over in 'Am not coping', so I hope connecting with others is helping.

Are you safe tonight?

Re: Sleeping too much

@Former-Member Know how you feel. Its frustrating and tragic to see their pain and feel your own Its why I walk the line of critiquing the system and respecting the current practise. I dont know what else to do.

Leave a note .. leave some pot pourri or aromatherapy or some fresh muffins .. or not .. I just know you gotta do what you gotta do.

I also could not completely kowtow to the "meds will save you" .. and the "doctors have got it all in hand " lines ... false reassurance isnt professional IMO.

I get fonder of you by the minute. You will be with your girl soon enough, but not too soon. Your nursing background does give you credibility in understanding the body part of MH conditions. We need you.
