Thanks guys. Nearly 2am and it cant switch off. Can't leave now till she gets over this. The discharged mum on oral ABs (disagreeing with GPs diagnosis of pneumonia), but tonight her temp has xeept up more - 38.2. She would only take paracetamol - thinks they're antibiotics (wt# as if), she wanted her old cough syrup but refused the asmol Dr prescribed. IThw more I try to convince her the less likely it is shell comply so I gave to switch off, but I'm wearing down.

Bro3 doesn't help, he turned up to use mumdads phone while his is out of order. Fell asleep on mums bed talking to her & stayed there till 11:30pm, I went to check mum and here he was still snoring. Woke him and then he got on phone talking ro telstea, quite loudly, for the next 45min on & off, trying to sort out fixing his landline. Couldn't concinsw him 9am would be better than the middle of the night. He had asthma, bad coughing fit, itchy eyes and sinus (from dogs sleeping on mums bed I reckon) so i gave him one of my Allergy tabs and Asmol. Made him cup of tea. He's in a state. But even he had a go at me when he saw i was throwing out all mums expired medication (some dating back into the 90s), he reckons his experience working in a pharmaceutical factory in the 80s made him an expert on the matter of expiry dates. He got angry that I didn't believe him. He argued that I wasn't nursing anymore "what's you're nursing doing for you now? how did it help your girl?, hu, yeh" he said laughing mockingly to himself (couldn't believe my ears - hurt a little because i'm embarrassed that i quit nuesing early re back problems & confidence after my girl died, and of cause that I couldn't save her that night). How can my family be so cruel? honestly! maybe it is me? Although I didn't show it, I was glad to see him go home, yet sad for him too. Tx my sister photos of mums discharge summary but she hasn't replied or anything.

Dads been snoring away in his room while all this is going on. That's one thing with his dementia - he rarely gets upset about anything, kind of in his own 'happy place' (fortunately for him, lonely for mum).

Oh, you're probably tired @TAB, and maybe annoyed that I haven't gone home yet. But it just doesn't feel right with mum so sick. You do know she has terminal cancer? Don't think any hanky panky (don't even want to go there) yuk stuff re bro crashing on mums bed, but it sure is weird boundaries.

Plz don't be cranky with me but keep being frank. I need that too.
