Re: Sleeping too much
Oh no with your back @Former-Member 😬😢
I'm about to get stuck into some jobs so maybe hit and miss today on the forum. I'm sorry I haven't caught up much. I was away from the forum yesterday for good reasons. My friend pretty much hijacked me and we went out for the day shopping which I never do and then to the movies and tea last night. I was actually out of my house for 10 hours straight and none of it was hiding in my car somewhere. The house is quiet today. All the kids stayed out last night which will almost never happen when S1 gets home in just over a month so I'm enjoying the peace while I can.
I hope your back feels better soon. Look after yourself today. 💜🤗
hiya @TAB I hope you have a good day and physical ailments take a back seat. 💜🤗
hi @Decadian things are ok for you today. Weather in Melbourne looks nice and cool so I hope your back is ok and you are ok to get out for a bit if you want.
Sending hugs to all 💜🤗

Hi @Former-Member
I am having a bad pain today - I have given up thinking what might cause these but we have had changeable weather in Melbourne and sharp changes in barometric pressure cause trouble for degenerating discs
Something I am learning to put up with - but certainly not at all fun - I really feel for Tawney though because I see a pain specialist and get a lot of help with my back
It's just something I have learned to live with
That's a long drive @Former-Member - I guess you really need to check on your parents to see how they are coping with it - and sort something out for them if they are not. Of course you will have to organised someone else to care for them - you are not up to it - your snotting sister could though
But I do know what it feels like not to see your mother - been there - totally understand
Take care for yourself though - and your back

Re: Sleeping too much
One of my jobs Saturday is to set up the street table with boxes of books and a weighted flag. I have tx the boss that we need to talk as they are too heavy and i can't be doing that anymore (nobody should just quietly) - see what she says next week. Fortunately the grabbing pain has eased with movement and analgesia.
Talking to mum this morning she was crying and couldn't stand, fainty, and tired and can't help dad like she usecto wants to and wants to vomit... Said she rang bro4 but he wanted to watch the end of a movie which upsets her (she does cry wolf too often) but knowing her I rang an ambulance and she is now in hospital A&E being assessed. She needs TLC (like all of us) so she might get a bit there. They said she's dehydrated, and I hope they check her bloods re terminal cancer and anemia - she may need a blood transfusion too. That will start up any day soon re her pending palliative care.
So, I am cleaning out the car (ouchy) for the trip to Sydney (@Bella2 knows how that is, any tips? I'll be alone). Trying not to stress too much but broke so need to be savvy, no takeaway or motels etc, using electricity bill money for petrol. Just have to pay that off slow again. Might take it slow, over night in the cool, sleep when I need to... Stop & stretch regular so my back don't lock up.
Oh, just heard a new bird, a Jackie winter I think, gotta check it out, bye

Hope you feel better soon @Former-Member, @Decadian
on the news this morning they were saying there is no truth in having pain and the change of weather
yea right -- I get sinus when the weather changes
and my Groin artritis plays up on certain days
Love you new picture @Former-Member

Re: Sleeping too much
Hi @Former-Member
First reaction - your brother wants to watch the end of a movie before he checks on your mother - d'uh - really bad - that is one of the worst excuses I have heard in a life-time of hearing bad excuses - I am so sorry that was his reason - it totally lacks imagination even - just wrong
I am glad you got an ambulance - it's a lot further than your brother has to go - cripes - and you are driving there when you don't have the money for the petrol - not that's above and beyond - you are really great doing that - but about your mother
Her cancer seems far along so I guess if she needs some TLC then she needs it I guess - I can't see anything wrong with that in her situation - as long as she isn't crying wolf - oh dear - what a problem - she has cancer and your father is a handful - of course she is exhausted - but still
I have a feeling here that you are the only one who cares and you have a sister and four brothers - some of whom have reasonable excuses - and you are the only one with enough responsibility - love - care enough - whatever - to do anything
And your health is bad too - and I know about back pain - it can be an invisible and horrible enemy
Thinking of you today - any tips for your drive - yes - make sure your phone is charged and take your charger with you - and some sandwiches - and sweet stuff to keep your blood sugar up
And all the best - I will be thinking of you
