Re: Sleeping too much
@TAB ... not too surprising considering your last week, and the fact that your body is now fending off an infection .... drink lots of water .... and take care of yourself ....
💕

Re: Sleeping too much
As some of you know, a couple of years back the a Tawney Frogmouth owl family made a nest in my tree out front and I watched the 3 little fledglings grow and leave the nest. They oom omm rhythmically through the night and day when nesting and still visit from time yo time, makes me smile. All the birds have become louder since it seems (I'm in tune now).
Three years before they nested there the closest we'd had one here through the day was when my daughter died. The owl sat at the top of the mulberry tree by the side door for three days without moving then disappeared. I often wonder about it because Jesus took three days yo rise from the dead. I think maybe it was symbolic of God having his hand over that terrible time, that there's a bigger picture and he wanted us to see, to trust.
Anyway, this new picture reminds me of the awe that struck me when I looked up to see 3 big eyed chicks sitting upright in their nest glaring down at me frozen in time, sooooo cute! I'll never forget that day, its like the universe was saying "you belong" It woke me up on the inside which had died. Can't describe it better than that. It was kinda magical.
So, as I have grown and healed and found the forums - I am TAWNEY re the owl / bird xox

Re: Sleeping too much
Hi @Former-Member
I have had a long time to think about grief - esp the grief of losing a child
And sometimes I will be reading or whatever and I realise I have stopped reading for some time and I realised I have been thinking very intensely about something - about anything really - if I back track it will have something to do with human emotions - what a mind - I think I can feel my frontal cortex getting hot with all that thought
Anyway - after my son died I read everything I got my hands on from the Compassionate Friends I couldn't seem to read enough - and as the years have gone on I have read Pyschology at 4th Year - very interesting - a bit of Freud and a lot of Carl Jung and otehr psychologists - it was in conjunction with my literature studies and useful - fantasticly so - and philosophy too - and what did I actually learn? More than was taught certainly and even more than I read
So the process of grieving for my son was the starting point - and my natural wanting to know everything kept it all going and I am so glad it is something that is helpful for you
Because my thought is that we all need to feel necessary in some way - and for me it is partly that my son's whole story was so catastrophic I could not bear to waste any of it so I write about it
It's good to know - so great to have the feedback - that my experience falls on fertile ground
