Hmm feeling a bit uncertain makes sense after surgery, that may be it @Former-Member. Feeling spacey might be to do with being tired, so bed sounds like a good idea. Perhaps hand sewing would be a good activity for tomorrow? Glad you enjoyed talking to your son and that he sounds happy ![]()

Hi @Former-Member
You do sound kinda spacey - I think that apart from the dark dates at this time - that GA yesterday means you have misplaced your normal self somewhere
Most unpleasant
Was it you here who said your son was what was left after losing your daughter and husand and mother and sister - I think of that myself sometimes - I have only insisted on Christmas Day and now dd is getting this - I don't bother her - she has her own life after all
Your son needs time to grow up - as my dd did - but it is hard when you have lost so many people
Lotsa hugs Tawnz

Hi @TAWNEY .... hope you're feeling better when you wake up ....
Mentioning events in history like the German occupation of areas of Greece is just history .... not personal towards the people ....
I had an Austrian g-grandma .... after WWII it was frowned upon socially here to speak German, otherwise it would have been my second language .... my grandma wouldn't speak it so my mum and her sibs didn't get to learn it, and cultural practices were kerbed as well .... have visited Germanic countries since and can recognise some turns of phrase, or manner of doing things .... but that's all I have from that part of the family.
I know it's too late to make a difference re how you were feeling prior to the procedure ... I picked your post up too late to say it then .... but I do know that Australia sets the bar really high in terms of who they will allow to practice medicine and their qualifications .... so no matter where the medical personnel are originating from, you can be sure that they have been put through their paces to be highly qualified and know their work well.
They are also older, cos whatever they have achieved academically in another country, they have to repeat qualifications here, even if they achieve some exemptions. It means they are well experienced too,
Your grief for your uncle may be impacting you physically as an after-shock from the anaesthetic too @Former-Member .... easy does it .... see if you can take things slowly for a few days, as if you had a cold or something .... contingency self-care ....
Love and hugs Hon .... ❤️🤗💕

Re: Sleeping too much
Nice to wake up to your messages. Don't know how I 'feel' yet - just gonna stay in bed today under the fan I think. Cancelled my planned w'end trip to see my son for B'day lunch Sunday. Hate how he gets anxious when I come. You know, I have bruises on my upper jaw, that hurt to touch (even laying on pillow), and bruises on both elbows & of cause both hands where they missed veins. Feeling l sorry fie mtself I guess. Just had a dream Mar brang flowers, put them in a beautiful round crystal vase then deliberately smashed it all, pretending she dropped it, and she laughed (now that describes my mother better than any words).
Would have been nice to have a caring mum.
I woke to the king parrot calling today, and soft magpies, xox.
