Re: Sleeping too much
hello @TAB @Former-Member @Shaz51 @Faith-and-Hope
You have brought up a valid point @TAB
tafe courses as an opener into a career path are very fickle.
if you are an adult and of course there is great encouragement to get you on these courses, wonderful reduction in unemployment figures, at the end of your extravagant cost course you find yourself getting many trial experiences. However, as soon as the employer realises that you have to be paid adult wage do not want to know.
If a person interviews very well, ticks all the boxes, is passionate asks questions I would be thinking this person has a lot to offer and will be an asset. less likely to leave as more mature.
all about money, money, money.

Re: Sleeping too much
Hi @Former-Member
You rang your son to wish him a happy birthday and he didn't pick up - not good
No - you are not expecting too much - he is your son - and your biological son I am sure - and therefore he would not be here to act like a little *rs* toward you if you had not put yourself to great inconvenience several years ago - little ratbag -
You are worth more - you cannot control your son's entitled and precious manner - if fact - he doesn't share his life with you and you can't know what's bugging him but
This doesn't detract from who you are and what you are - what your write tells me you are a person of thought and compassion - with a damaged family - and you didn't cause that damage but it affects you - oh how it affects you
I get it Tawney - I understand - I can only say I have been sidelined by dd and as she is getting older and lately!! something has happened in her life to make her better - as if she is passing some kind of milestone and moving into a more understanding stage of life
Maybe your son has to get there - I don't know how hold he is but guessing he is still young - late teens or early 20s perhaps - such a young and callow fellow
Life will go on - and on - in the meantime both of us have a dose of the Black Dog - I get it
I am between the anniversaries of my parents' deaths - they died - I am so tired of euphanisms - my mother almost made it to the same date in January - and her date has passed and now I am in a flat patch waiting until Dad's date has come to pass
Yeah - I miss my father - and he made a huge mistake about me in his life and maybe thought a lot of how bad I was when TS had lied about something so serious at such a bad time in his life - but we patched it up a long time before he left - so I don't feel bad about that - or either of them dying really
So what my parents did or failed to do maybe caused me to become a better person - I know Dad was a great person in my life - my role model and my mother was a powerful influence on what not to be
But this is a different Black Dog - it's an anniversary Black Dog - and you are having a birthday Black Dog and yes - you have the right to expect more from him - but I don't think there is much hope of it happening - either you tell him and tell him and tell him and be a nag or pray he will change - either way - it's hard for you - but unlike the definition placed on us by our parents - our children do not define us
Lotsa hugs Tawney - I care a lot

How do you know its not blackdog when all the evidence is there? I wish I died
Hi @Former-Member
It's interesting that you mentioned all the Black Dog evidence. The last time I saw my therapist she talked about evidence
Okay - I see the evidence - you made a Freudian Slip in you message there - or did you? Is life so bleak right now you wish you weren't here anymore - cause that is major Black Dog evidence
I hear you, I see you, I get you - I like you - you are among my on-line friends - a major part of my Forum Family and I am feeling pretty bleak myself - but not that bleak I am sure
One thing I am working through right now is that as unpleasant as it is - feeling the pits is normal and we don't want to feel anything but pleasant - but feeling like the pits is evidence of the presence of the Black Dog
I understand
