Re: Sleeping too much

Hi @Former-Member

A lump - ah - no!! scary stuff

I had one once - I never got anything attended to so quickly - I saw a shadow on my neck on Sunday and saw my doctor on Monday Morning - emergency appointment - and had an ultrasound that afternoon and saw a General Surgeon on Tuesday and was in hospital for surgery on Wednesday

It was a non-toxic multi-nodular goitre - and having the daylights whopped out of me and being scared silly it wasn't what the rush was all about - thank God for that

Actually _ I have had two - so as to encourage you - the second was was benign also - a non-pigmented chrono-hyperplasia in my knee - I had an arthroscopy for that one - almost an instant cure

Lumps scare the willies out of us - maybe that is why we get them attended to asap - but right now you are taking a break from GPs - I get it - I understand what you mean

You have had such a lot happening

My day is going okay - I got up early and I am enjoying the sun shining into my lounge - it's still winter but the sun is lasting a long time today - what an improvement in the weather - let's hope it lasts

If you are extra-tired take today easy - helping daughter with homework will keep your mind active - I remember helping my dd with an essay on MacBeth one year - not a good idea - while I was at university I taught a lot of private students - and I taught MacBeth - it's one of those golden oldies - and I love it myself - but we should not teach our own kids if we are in the teaching business ourselves

But all the best with your day - and all the best with your lump - you do not need this right now but it is better to get it seen to so all the freaky feelings will take a hike

You are in my thoughts

Squawk!! @Former-Member

Pushing 60 - you are but a slightly older chicken - I am over-the-hill and feel as if I am running out of time - I still have so much to do with my life - but I am doing it

About adding stuff to our diet - I have some supplements - I don't think I should name them - but one is really good for the arthritis in my hands -

The other thing is I grow my own herbs - I don't really know what way they help but I know I feel better when I am adding them to my salad or other meals - and they taste good too - some of them have lasted a long time with all the rain - and my dd planted out some silverbeet months ago and it is still a regular addition to my meals - I think they help but apart from the very ordinary things like silverbeet and say - different forms of lettuce which only grow well in summer and my own tomatos - I can say these - and they taste really fantastic when picked fresh from the garden

Re: Sleeping too much

Thanks @TAB for asking, I'm OK, have had a busy day, did some comm work which went well but dragged out 'till 4pm. Lucky for my back a lot of it was sitting & driving. Got home just before dark. Have tommy pain too so just resting, watching DVD 'K-Pax' (an man who thinks he's an alien in a psych ward), convincing philosophical perspectives.
How are you tonight?

Re: Sleeping too much

I regularly sleep for 10 hours always have. Very annoying when I hear of people getting up cooking etc in the night. I wake up desperate for more sleep knowing that I can't and have to get up. Slurp down some coffee to feel human.

hi @Former-Member yeah am ok thx I did work for dole 'volunteering' a decade ago maybe .. I'd finish what they gave me to do in 2hrs, then end up having to get sick cert cos got so far behind in hours. Bored me to tears. Could walk there from where was living tho. that was best part. The walk yeah my back doesn't like long drives ie 3plus hrs without stopping. ..still.. its not used to it at the moment lol
